Diralst Roofing and Siding Rick Dirr, Cory Dirr My house flooded, signed a contract with this company to do all repairs to my home. They were paid first installment check of almost $4,000 and all I got was 4 gallons of walmart paint and a drunken painter that showed up only a few times. They hang up on me and refuse to give my money back. Franklin Ohio
My house flooded a few months ago. I called Diralast initially to get a quote on a roof estimate and owner Rick Dirr stated they could also do all the work in my hosue from it flooding because they were licensed contractors. I went through all the hoop la with my bank to get him authorized to do the work since my bank has my insurance check and only will give it to me in 3rds till its done. He provided required documentation and was paid almost $4000 for first installment. We met at menards and picked out all the flooring for my house, kitchen cabinets, paint, faucets, counter tops, sinks, etc. 2 weeks later they sent a unqualified painter over to my house with 4 gallons of walmart paint and even wrong color. And I had to go through hell to get him over there at this point. I was so frustrated I said what are u going to do show up with flooring from walmart now. Rick Dirr vanished from the picture with son stating he was in Michigan with his mom as she was sick. Funny there is pictures on social media of him driving around out town. The painter showed up a couple of times for a few hours after demanding he come do this work so we can get our house livable again. They didnt see anything wrong with the watered down walmart paint. I said that is not what we agreed on and Cory Dirr said well that paint is fine, and I stated its not even the right color what am I suppose to do wait another month for you all to go to menards and get the right paint if you decide too? He said well thats understandable i wouldnt want to wait either. Next thing I know there shop is padlocked with 3 padlocks and all the phones to contact Rick, the painter, and Cory are disconnected. A couple weeks later I got a hold of Cory, and as usual he said he would be right over and never showed up. They showed up about week later, stole my contract from my house that he asked to see and snuck out the door with. {rior to leaving my house that day I demanded he put his father on speaker phone because he was going to talk to me and tell his son what he had promised me. Rick Dirr stated he would get everything straightened out and get it done. Neither Never to be seen again. My mother has contacted him a couple times and she demanded he give our money back and he hung up on her. The painter stated prior to this he wasnt allowed to come back and he was sorry. Also during this whole process the painter stated to me and my family he was sorry for every thing and we should just take them to court because they were stealing our money and had no intentions of finishing the job and had been coaching him on what lies to tell us. Luckely my mortgage company has copies of the check I gave them as conviently Rick Dirr could not provide a receipt for me the day i signed the check over to him, well my bank has copies of the check before signing it over and of them cashing it, and they have copies of my contract signed with them, I will not rest till they give my money back they stole from me and my kids making us live in unlivable conditions and skipping off down the road with it. How dare they. I am sharing this because I hope this happens to no one else. I have contacted the BBB and the attorney general and will be contacting the authorities once all my paper work comes in from my bank.
