Directv Inc. Outrageous cancellation fee Internet
We were thnking about changing our communications over to a company (Charter) that could cover cable, internet and phones for our entire business. We called Directv the last week of October and asked if there would be a cancellation fee and were told that there would be no cancellation fee because we had been using Directv's services since 2001. We decided to go ahead and contract with a company to cover ALL our communication needs and had the service installed last week. When we called Directv to cancel the service yesterday, we were informed that we would be billed $380.00(!) for cancellation. We did not sign any contract agreeing to this fee and were told not two weeks before this that there was no fee for cancelling service. What a ripoff! Do not get satellite TV from these people!

they come up with an imaginary contract, no matter how long you've had service, there is always (in DIRECTV'S PECKER BRAIN) another 2 years you allegedly have agreed to their service. according to DIRECTV'S PECKER BRAIN LOGIC, every month you make a payment starts fresh an IMAGINARY 2 YEAR CONTRACT THAT STARTS THE MOMENT YOU MAKE THE PAYMENT, every month.
HENCE, when you sign up for DIRECTV, you are signing up for a LIFE CONTRACT (YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PAY DIRECTV FOR SERVICE FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE) DISGUISED AS A 2 YEAR CONTRACT.
The customer service support from their India Operations Center is always a refreshing pleasure! They will argue with you for hours on end as you try to remove STRATEGIC DEPLOYMENT INTO YOUR REAR from your bill, as you tell PUNJAB until you are blue in the face you did not order. PJ responds with uncanny certainty, ..."the satellites don't lie. they know you ordered it...the exact second you pushed the button on your remote, it was recorded by the satellite...it is impossible it to be mistake...the bill is correct...I am sorry, the supervisor will just tell you the same thing I am teeling you...I am afraid the $99.95 charge for the ALL DAY PASS to STRATEGIC DEPLOYMENT INTO YOUR REAR must remain on your bill...you must pay this...wait, before you hand up, would you like to set-up your account for autopay..."
DON'T YOU DARE SET-UP AUTOPAY WITH DIRECTV, UNLESS YOU WANT TO CHECK YOUR BANK BALANCE ONE DAY TO HAVE IT READ -$1126.00 (NEGATIVE ELEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS).
DO NOT GET DIRECT TV. IT IS A BAD BAD BAD TERRIBLE EVIL COMPANY.
DON'T FALL FOR THE 3 MONTHS FREE OF 3 PREMIUM CHANNELS. WHAT COMES NEXT AFTER 3 MONTHS IS MIND-NUMBING BILLS OF EXTRAORDINARY LARGE AMOUNTS. THE BAD NEWS, THEY LAST FOREVER, LIKE YOUR 2 YEAR CONTRACT, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO KEEP IT FOREVER.

their installer drilled holes (too many holes for one dish) all around himself and fell through my roof landing in my attic.
DID DIRECTV TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, OFFER ME COMPENSATION, OR EVEN FIX THE DAMAGE TO MY ROOF?
NO WAY. the owner of the installation contractor company showed up at court a few months later after i sued their asses. he was not represented by an attorney. he had a DIRECTV JERSEY ON, but was not an employee or representative of DIRECTV. lets leave it to your imagination what happened next.
THEY CLAIM THEY ARE THE BIGGEST AND BEST PROVIDER FOR SATTELITE TV, WITH THE MOST SATELLITES IN SPACE.
REALITY, DIRECTV IS GIANT SPACE-PECKERS ORBITING THE EARTH, EJACULATING OUTRAGEOUS PRICES FOR SATELLITE TELEVISION ON ALL HUMANITY.
IT'S TIME TO PULL THE PLUG ON DIRECTV. GO WITH DISH NETWORK. DISH NETWORK WILL f**k YOU OVER LESS.
