Do Not Do Business with this company. I was in the Finance division at this company the division that does all the work now let me break down how it goes down. You pay a deposit of 500 don't pay anymore than that they will let you in for 500. Here is the thing you can't get a loan with a 500 credit score but they want you to think that so they say we have credit repair well if you have a BK on your credit that's not 7-10 years old forget it your not getting approved but they will swear by there in house credit repair that's only one person who is backed up badly and he can't repair and BK so if that's the case don't waste your money or time. Then the loans that they get you actually you can get yourself. Multiple lines of credit cards with high interest rates that they want you to liquidate into your account. Most of the businesses fail becasue you need more than 20K in working capital to open and maintain a store but they don't care as long as they get there money. They will up sale you until you have no working capital and that is a shame. Site location is all about there comission so watch them they move very fast trying to find you a location and they always try to get you a bigger location than what you need or can afford. This company is horrible they make it seem like they are getting business owners money but in true fact it's the third party brokers that get you the money Seed Capital, Excel Funding , UFS thats who gets you the money not DRSS. IF you have to do business with this company stand firm and don't let them push you around. The owner is a rxxxxx republican who loves fox news so if you want to do business with the KKK here is your opportunity.

For one who says I'm black for two if someone lasted for almost a year I wouldn't say that they were the worst I know a black guy who worked there in the finance office and he got fired and was a great finance guy Jim is not all you say he is and you worked there for 7 years well god be with you I couldn't have done it that place is a whole in the wall place that hires and fires like no bodies business well have a great life GB.

i am an ex employee of DRSS and I was fired after 7 years. DRSS has issuses but YOU DID NOT GET FIRED BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK. They have many problems but Jim is not a racist. I know 1st hand that the quality of your work was the poorest in the finance department that I have witnessed in my 7 years working there. I was shocked to see that you lasted almost a year. Yes they use credit card financing but they refuse to open stores without working capital. Get your facts straight. Most the credit cards are interest free for 18 months. If your going to rant about DRSS you should make noise over real issues. I am not defending DRSS over all but your issues are all in your mind.

I will say this there are most defintly racial undertones at this company toward certain types of ethenic groups and that is guaranteed. This company takes advantage of people horribly getting them 100,000 dollars and taking 60K of it right off the bat for a 1000 square foot dollar store is setting them up for a fall right off the bat. 40K is what they will have after that then pay the third party company that gets the money then lord forbid you crooks talk them into a bigger store costing more money taking more working capital and pretty much leaving the person high and dry broke owing thousands or even hundreds of thousands not even careing that in a few months there little dollar store will be history and the people are stuck owing all this money. Like I said before and oh yeah this company does not fire people justifiably whoeven wrote that rebuttal was more than likely the vice president who really dosen't know whats going on anyways like I said before stay far away from this company there are better ones to choose from who are way more affordable and will come and build out your store for way cheaper and they will do business with integrity.

In response to the Rip-Off Report statement made in March 2015 by an ex-employee of Discount Retail Store Services our response is as follows.

We want anyone who reads this erroneous statement made by a former disgruntled employee who was separated from the business for just cause based upon conduct not conducive to a professional work environment to know that we, as an organization, cannot tolerate personal issues to openly affect an employees’ work performance and supersede the needs of our valued clients.

Due to the fact that our clients’ needs and expectations are extremely important to the process of our business, as they are with most businesses, any behavior which creates obstacles and affects our ability to exceed client expectation cannot and will not be tolerated.

The former employee who had written the inaccurate statement made numerous slanderous and false remarks concerning the companies’ position in regards to our hiring practices pertaining to minorities. Considering the employee himself falls within that demographic and had been employed for several months, his allegations are baseless and misrepresent any level of truth. Discount Retail Store Services under the company ownership proudly has a number of minority staff members in all of our internal departments and has a practice of hiring employees based upon their specific skill set and competencies without regard to one’s skin color or ethnicity. This practice has been in place and maintained throughout the companies twenty plus years of operation.

To level an egregious accusation of racism, even going as far as referring to the KKK based upon his desire to attack the company due to his justifiable separation is unconscionable and demonstrates the level to which this disgruntled employee is willing to sink in order to discredit a company of dedicated committed individuals helping fulfill the dreams of clients who have a desire of owning their own business.
