You say your service was restored after being cut off and you made an 'overpayment'. If your service was cut off for non-payment previously, they probably processed the next month's payment to avoid your service being disconnected again. If you made a payment and overpaid, they probably don't have to have your permission to use the funds since you did pay it to them. I would just relax and take a deep breath and be happy that this is one less bill to have to pay for October!
