Small-time crook.
Unlicensed small-time crook.
He took us for $2700. We sub-leased a room from him, only to discover he was unlicensed, just as he's an unlicensed contractor. He drank our rent away, smoked away our security deposit. We're certain that he's done worse to the poor souls who've employed him to build cabinets, remodel kitchens, or hang new doors.
We've looked for his cell-phone number; we're unable to find it. (Else we'd post it here.) He commonly posts on Craigslist; he'll be posting there soon in order to grab more trusting souls and relieve them of their hard-earned cash. Know that if you do business with him, you're doing business with a criminal. A real criminal.
Caveat emptor, dude.
Update (late June, 2009): The con man has employed intimidation and scare tactics, and has tried conning relatives of ours out of $1500. We have notified the BBB of this criminal and will continue to keep people updated.
