DPI Energy dpi electric Over charging and charging for months when the meter haven't even beem read Bedford, Texas
Dpi gimmick was 89.00/mo for a 1 bedroom and it was suppose to be 89.00 for the first month. We paid that on March 5, 2010. On March 18, 2010 we received a bill for 117.00 which we thought wasn't right because we paid for the first month of service. So the next month came along and this bill was 211.00 and we're like how in the world we jump that high plus this bill came on April 5, 2010 then two weeks later on April 18, 2010 we get a disconnect notice and the bill for 353.00.
So we're really like what in the hell 3 bills inside of a month and a half. So we called in and made arrangements and to get information on why our bill is so high and why we were getting billed so frequently. They tell us we're getting bill in advance and I asked the question so why are our bills continuously going higher. I was told well they're just estimates. So I'm like, so you guess a bill and we have to pay it?
So the bills were paid and yet again we received 3 more bills like that going up until about the end of July and to make it a total of over 700.00 almost 800.00 and we call them and asked why are we being charged so much for electricity and they in return sounding like robots said that we used so many kilowatts. I knew that was a lie because we live in a small one bedroom efficiency apartment, and their ad was 89.00 month for a one bedroom ( yeah right). So I ask them who they had reading the meters they told me Oncor.
So I called Oncor and they told me that that hadn't even read the meter for those last to months that we were getting charged. Because it was May and June and we were being charged until August. SO Dpi is a rip off company. Making up prices and we having to pay it. I've never known an electric company to charge you 3 times in a almost 2 months span. If anyone is suing DPI please give me the name of your attorney and for the rest of you please NEVER use dpi energy.
