We were introduced to Dr. Abernathy through a refering broker while seeking a large acquisition and development loan. We were told by Dr. Abernathy that he represented several professional athletes and was both a direct lender and participant in $200,000,000 of loans annually.
Our expereince is that this is not true. In our situation, he has acted only as an intermediary broker collecting fees under the guise of controlling a transaction. Fees were advanced under the verbal promise and in writing that if Dr. Abernathy, Sovereign and Garco did not deliver a loan within a specified time we would receive a refund of due diligence and closing costs we advanced that exceeded $5000.
Subsequently, we found out that his office had been closed for months and that he was shopping our deal through several other brokers. Ultimately, he introduced us to a group that was an outright fraud and cost us a lot of money.
If you have had a similar experience with Dr. Abernathy please post a reply. Maybe if we band together we can put this man where he belongs.

We were also a victim of Larry Abernathy. There is a group working together to try and address his activities that have cost many of us to loose much. If you would like to join us please use the title of this post at gmail dot com to contact us.
In the mean time, be careful in accepting partial money from him, as it may result in you loosing your leverage in a criminal case. The only thing Larry has truly responded to is imminent jail time. So don't forget, a letter to g mail using fraudvictim2011. Hope this helps!

So this website wont let any of us contact each other because it deletes phone numbers and emails for some reason, we need to find a way to get in touch. Legal action is neccesarry for this man to go away.
801 I wish we could leave contact 455 information so we can 05 get justice 51. or at least our money back. Dr Abernathy claims to be with the Abernathy Group and has also been associated with the Soverign Marketing group, and also claims to be a minister of a church, yet he can't follow through with one thing he has promised, we have a lot in writing from him and plan to keep it all, so lets ban together to finish this.

To whoever reads this and especially those who have been a victim of this mans lies I say lets get in touch and band together for a resolution. I have a long story to tell you all and if you call me I will contact you but pretty much the first consumer from California hit the nail on the head and this " DR." did the same thing and took our money too. rip me off once shame on you rip me off twice shame on me. so lets get him to pay us back all.

I had a similar experience and would like to discuss options for recovery of funds - I am considering filing suit and am wondering if a suit by several parties would be more effective.
