I do understand your anger, however I must say that some things you say here don't make much sense to me. First of all, it is mandatory that a state health certificate be issued within 10 days of any animal being shipped, regardless of the airline so I do find it hard to believe that this breeder was able to ship a cat to you with a so called "HomeMade" health certificate. Second, you claim that this boy you had shipped to you came to you sick with three different illnesses that were contagious and that now all your other kitties were sick as well? My problem with this and why you won't find any sympathy from me or any breeder is that first rule is you always isolate any new pet, breeder of show cat for atleast 3 weeks and you should have signed a contract which probably stated this as one of the regulations? Now the second problem I have with this issue as I know you can claim you didn't know, but you also state that you contacted the breeder and informed her that your new kitty was sick the day you got him and yet you still allowed him to have access to your other kitties? Shame on you and for that and because of your neglagence to your other kitties you should be responsible for any expenses that come from vetting your kitties you already had and shouldn't be passed on to the breeder. Now third, you state that this breeder has another 400.00 of a deposit which is for another kitten not yet born? You should never place a deposit for a kitten not yet born, there are so many things that can go wrong with that and being that most breeders have a Non Refundable Deposit clause then you the buyer can be kept waiting on that kitten til hell freezes over!!! So for that I say the breeder should be ashamed of herslef for excepting a deposit on a kitten not yet born. Last but not least you never mentioned anything in your report regarding your contract or health guarentee you had with this breeder and kitten? Does this mean you didn't sign a contract nor get a written health guarentee? If you did sign a breeder/show contract with the breeder unless it clearly states that you are entitled to a refund or replacement should the cat not be breedable then chances are you will not recieve one unless the breeder is really understanding and as for the health certificate which you probably do not have if you don't have a contract would have given you a warranty against this kitty being sick, however most state that this guarentee cover genetic defects however are not given for common illnesses with this breed which most times include, ringworm, URI, and earmites therefor the only problem you can reject the kitty for and call into play your health warranty and contract should there had been a breedability clause would be the undesended testi's. So with all this being said, yes you can show in premiership after you have him neutered, however if this breeder is a reputable breeder then chances are you will be offered a replacement when one becomes available however be prepaired to pay for shipping to return the non breedable kitty as well as for your replacement to be sent to you and if you are lucky you may even get your 400 deposit back if you ask nicely? Hope things work out for you and remember the most important thing here is the health and well being of that kitty and just know that not all breeders who do business online and sell kittens to buyers without them ever seeing the kitten in person before purchase are not like this and unfortantly there are sales that do go badly and it is those few that you hear about and you hardly ever hear about how well a sale went. Hopefully you and this breeder can work things out and you can both be happy about how things are worked out.
