Complaint Review: Dried Poppies Direct - kenneport Washington

I was buying dried poppy pods for a floral arrangement.  They are hard to find now because they are used to make opium tea.  The prices that were advertised were quite good and so I placed an order. My credit card was charged about $12.00 more than was advertised.  It was also charged from Jack-sons Sports Bar.  The email indicated that I should never call Jack-son's and to not email them?  I got a USPS tracking number the next day but for the next week it indicated that it was electronically setup in advance and no package had actually reached their facility.

After waiting a while I wrote several polite e-mails.

I have not received my order and no e-mails have been responded to.  I then did a search and found many complaints on this site and others regarding their business practices. 

I think this guy has gotten away with it for so long because he preys on opiate addicts.  As I was only using them for a project I was consigned to do I am not in the least bit afraid to report this individual to all the authorities I can think of that will shut him down.  As he has used his father's business to process credit cards he has involved the business.  When I called the bar I was told that Seth (dried poppies direct) was getting his own credit card machine & account and that he never fights disputes (they seem to happen pretty often).  Mr Ken French (bar owner) need to sit down with his son!

Here is the e-mail I sent him.  I strongly suggest that you follow my example.  This guy is a thief preying on people with an illness.  Who else would putup with all of this bulls**t?

I have written you several times and receiving no response I did some research and found ample evidence that your business may be fraudulent (www.ripoffreport.com, www.ripoffrant.com, www.boardreader.com, www.bbb.org) .  Four independent websites indicate numerous complaints regarding your business practices and one complaint from over a year ago is outlining the same experience I am currently having down to an exact copy of the very same "we have been busy the past few weeks" email I received from you, the tracking number that shows no  package actually being dropped off and the additional charge to my credit card that was not disclosed until after you had charged me and without my permission.  I want my credit card refunded today.   I have contacted my credit card company and will begin the dispute procedure tomorrow afternoon if my account has not been credited for the full amount by 4pm on 2/17/11.  I am certain that I will receive a favorable judgment. However, if I am forced to go to the trouble of initiating the dispute procedure with the bank tomorrow afternoon I will also be contacting Andy Miller the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney and making a complaint requesting that you and Jack-sons be investigated for fraud.  I will then contact the United States Post Office's Postal Inspector for your region to formally ask that they begin an investigation of you and Jack-sons for mail fraud.  A letter and a copy of all the other complaints will be sent to the Jack-son's credit card processing company, another will be sent to the Washington State Liquor Control Board and a final one will be sent to the Internal Revenue Service. Trust me when I say that it will be in you and your father's best interest to refund my credit card.  I find unethical business practices vexing and will spend a dollar to win a nickel when I feel I have been treated poorly.
