Your report is very thorough and well explained, maybe when you conact the Attorney General Mr.Jerry Kilgore: 1-804-786-2071, you can write to him as well. You might mail the letter first: address: 900 E. Main St., Richmond, VA, 23219. Then make a follow up call. You can also access Virginia's web site, where contact to the Attorney General is available as well: http://www.oag.state.va.us If it might help, share your Rip-off Report. I would also like to recommend the Division of Consumer Protection of Richmond, VA. Phone: 1-804-786-2042. This is a private organization. I have not tried any of this contact information, but this is all updated. Now as far as your knowing better, your intentions were genuine, and you can learn from the end results. There is no crime in trying to be responsible, restore your credit, and get on the right track in your life. Make sure the Attorney General understands your initial intention. Myself, I thought the law took care of all of this, but with the information at this site, now I just don't know. Anyway, be careful, and don't be so hard on yourself. Hope this helps.
