Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

we found Eagle Granite and marble on Craigslist, doing business in the Dallas area. Fortino came to my home and gave me an estimate for my granite. When we signed the contract (a week later) I gave him 1/2 of the money ($300) and a week later, after many delays, missed appointments and unanswered calls I am still trying to get the to reimburse my deposit (since I definitely don't want them to install granite anymore).  I also called Danny, and after barelly listening to my complaint he was in a hurry to hang up saying to give him 5 minutes to call Fortino and he will get back to me. Meanwhile I believe that he blocked my number since my calls go straight to voice mail. There are many other reports of ripoffs from people and for a lot more money than what I paid (Ripoffreport.com has some). Do not fall in the same trap and get scammed by them.If you were scamed., then contact the company they are cashing the checks (Cliff's check cashing), contact the granite warehouse they sent you to pick your granite from, the sales person and manager and tell them your story, maybe they can help shut them down somehow. If they stole a lot of money from you, contact the local police and there are detectives that will take your case and follow up on it. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CHECK - (too late for me). From now on I will only pay with a credit card, and if they don't take one then just move on to the next company that accepts one!!!

After many tries to get out money returned (with no success) we went to the local police office. We spoke to an officer and showed him out proofs, contract, and texts trying to get them to return our money. They were very helpful and reached out to Eagle Granite and Marble. Fortino (one of the owners) called me a few times saying that he will pay, but of course nothing came out of it. Shortly after that, the officer escallated the case to a detective. Once the detective stepped in, the next day Fortine brought to him a check in the full amount. We went to the issuing bank to validate if there are enough funds in the account before we will deposit it. We were not surprised to find out that the bank could not honor the check, however they could not tell us the reason. The detective reached out for one last time to Fortino. Not exactly sure what went on, but withing 30 minutes Fortino and I met and he returned all the money in cash.

If you have been scammed follow these thisngs and don't stop until they pay up.

Thanks
