I opened an eBay sellers account and wished to cancel my account. The site says you must do this through a webform that is not on the site. I inquired and said I wanted to cancel my account. I wrote them and got a generic reply putting me back into the same loop I had been through. I cannot get a confirmation from a human being. There is not a phone directory listing for them. I continue to get billed. They are making it impossible for me to cancel my account.

Any email addresses or phone numbers to get through to them would be appreciated.

You didn't quite answer Scott's question about what you did use on eBay in order to incur the charge in the first place... The ONLY way to incur a charge on eBay is to have listed an item for sale, registered for ID Verify, or opened an eBay store. If you've done either of these, the charge will be valid. eBay's phone support will not be able to help you on this. You can only close your account via your registered email account request. Your account can't and won't be closed until you balance is $0.00

Hi Scott: I had a seller's account, not an auction item. I have done exactly as you said and was sent one email saying a representative would get back to me in 24 hours. That was a month ago. I cannot locate a number. I have retried the cancel account about 5 more times. Still no human contact and I continue to get billed. Thanks for the input.

Ebay will only charge you any amount of money if you sell and complete the sale of an item. There is no monthly membership fee and the only way to incur charges is to sell and item through their services. so by saying that they continue to bill you.. what are they billing you for? Nothing... unless you have used their service to sell an item. However, If you would like to cancel your membership with ebay and incur no future charges log in to "myebay account" from www.ebay.com /My ebay /accounts/cancel membership . . . This is all that has to be done.
