I have had an Ebay account under the User ID: Masontruth. I have a high rating and excellent feedback. I spend thousands of dollars on ebay including a $25,000 vehicle and a number of pieces of constructon equipment. I came home one day in mid March and saw that my account was suspended.

I contacted them and was told that a suspended user had signed on to ebay from my computer. I found out that the owner of a vehicle donation service had used my account to access his suspended account. He told me he was checking his email. I had no reason to doubt that he was checking his email. I have contacted Ebay with the name of the individual, his legitimate company and the name of the company that he is using on Ebay. I have sent them copies of my Contractor's license, the original receipts showing I made numerous vehicle donations to the company for charity and copies of every email I have sent him requesting that he pay his bill with Ebay and contact them.

They insist that he sign on and contact them. He gives me a song and dance that he is contacting them and is working on it but I believe he is not going to do it. I have no means of forcing him other then my calls and emails. I am also filing a complaint with the B.B.B. I do not understand why they are trying to hold me responsible for the deception caused by a 3rd party who used my p.c. Is there anything I can do to get my account reinstated? I cannot be dishonest and start another account.

While the vehicle donation service has done just I cannot and will not do anything that is dishonest and above board. My integrity is much more important.

eBay allows more than one ID to a person

#2Consumer Suggestion

From my own RipOffReport: eBay itself even states they permit a person to have two user accounts. You can see this for yourself. Go to eBay, then their 'help' page at the top right, type in "if you are already registered" and click on 'search help'. It's the first link there. Thanks for the laugh. On the page you get to, they even explain to AOL users how to do it so they CAN do it. Here is a copy of the text. If you want two different eBay accounts Many members find that they need two accounts either as a way to organize a large number of items they are selling or for selling two different types of items. You may register two different eBay accounts as long as you make sure that: Both accounts have different User IDs and different email addresses. The two accounts will never be used in the same listing, nor will they be used with each other's member profiles. Important: If you use AOL for your email, you will need to first create a second AOL account, and use this AOL email for your second eBay member account. When you create a second eBay account, verify that you are logged into your second AOL account, not the previous AOL account. The email address on the eBay Registration form is automatically completed from the AOL account and cannot be changed. Your first AOL account will be associated with your first eBay account.
