Eddie Accardi Chrysler Jeep Dealer Car Dealer Rip-Off Pompano Beach Florida
I'm a first time car buyer. In 2000, I bought a jeep cherokee from Eddie Accardi. I brought my tradein (in excellent condition car -1995 jeep cherokee) with new 4 tires to look for a new car. He offered to give us a free vehicle to use for a day since he said a buyer insisted on taking my tradein now.
He insisted on me picking up the car late at night, which was a big mistake on my part. Pete Sereno was the S.B. car salesperson. First, they charged me for the preparation and protective coating for the car -$500+,which I found out was a scam. Next they hid the manufacturer's specs so I cannot find the features I wrote and was looking for. Another mistake I made as a first time buyer. After the dealer closed. I just happened to reach underneath the seat and found the manufacturer's specs - an illegal thing the dealer did.
Next morning, I contacted the dealer and complained about the whole thing. I also found out that the car is a year old, paint has been chipped on numnerous part. The car did not have the tow package I paid for - another ripped off from them.
I brought the car back to them. They put a non-named brand tow package on it, they ripped off the paint on the back of the car. So I end up suing them and they gave me back $7500.00 to compensate for the damages and not to get into arbitration.
Then next thing, one of our friend's brother went to them to find a new car. They took $2000.00 downpayment. Then later on they cannot fulfill the customer's request for the specs of the car he wants and Eddie Accardi's personnel refused to give the deposit back. He was so furious with the whole situation that he told them go eat my $2000 cash and walked away from the dealer. His brother saw him so upset and tol him - "Let me guess, you went to Eddie Accardi and got ripped off!". He said "how did you know?" I have received a lot of email complaints about the dealer and seems to be that the dealer has really bad reputation!
