The same thing just happened to me here in San Francisco, although I had a pretty good idea something was suspicious. I bought 3 "Armani" jackets from an Italian guy here. They are knock offs, with the "EJA" label, although it is pretty convincing...the jackets are all labeled, and one of them has a lining with "EJA" stitched into it all throughout the stitching.
The Italian guy claimed to be coming from a fashion show and had extra jackets to sell. I was "doing him a favor" since he would have to pay tax to go through the airport. In any case, I only paid $160 for all three jackets, and all three are a perfect fit and look pretty good on me.
I feel badly for the guys here who paid more, but honestly I balked at the idea of his first price of $200. If he had asked me for anywhere near $500 I would have laughed in his face.
It's hard to tell what the jackets are made of (2 brown, 1 black) but since even a cheap jacket from Zara costs $59.50, I don't feel too bad.

Hi, I had a similar experience the other week, in London. A man with an Italian accent approached me offering the four leather jackets and a case full of shirts and ties, also a suit. I take it these are not originals, as I was very near to giving him the cash but had a bad feeling just before handing the cash. He said his name was Luca. I must admit the Jackets did look genuine. Please respond.

That boy sure do get around. I think he was in London last week. I like the part about speaking Italian. Let's take a poll, How many people in North Carolina speak Italian? One, two, three at the most. And they're his "brothers" selling jackets and suits in other parts of the state.
