Complaint Review: Elite Euro Boxers - San Antonio Tx Select State/Province

I began my search for my first European Boxer in the fall of 2012. I came across Karol Alva's Website Elite Euro boxers and sent a message. She responded and sounded very nice and knowledgeable. She told me that she did not have any litters at that time and I said that you. Please let me know when she did.

A couple of days litter she called me to tell me she had a wonderful oppurtunity for me. She was importing two European puppies and asked me if I would like one. She said we would each pay for our puppy and split the shipping costs. I told her I would have to think about it and discuss it with my other half and I would get back to her. She said ok that was not a problem, but this would be a great oppurntunitiy for me, and how she likes to help others.

I decided to go ahead and import with her. In the mean time some one had told me to do a search on this breeder as there were numerous complaints. I did and found many. When confronted she said how she had many jealous people and they were not real, and resolved..I gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to move forward. 

A few weeks past and she told me that the breeder decided not to sell the girl that I wanted. I was devestated. She had told me that she was going to pass on the pup she was going to get as that was wrong, but not to worry I could get a pup from her if I wanted. Not to long after she contacted me about another oppurtunity to import this time to males from Germany. After some thought and consideration I decided ok why not.

She has told me that his cost including the shipping was $2500 usd. I verified this with her more than once. She also told me that I could put a deposit on her upcomming litter with Via Aveling Intuition and Gladiator Di Casa Vernice. I told her I would want a flashy female as I was importing the classic brother. She said that would be fine she should have one. She told me should would need a deposit of $1300 to get 2nd pick of that litter. She had told me her pups were $2500 plus shipping and usually requires half to take second pick.  She said I could send $2000 for the male pup to be imported and $1300 for the deposit on her litter.

She would only accept a wire tranfer from my bank or pay pal payment. I chose to use my bank. I went to the bank to wire her the full $3300. While at the bank I had to call for her bank information and to verify what I was sending her. She then told me that amount was not correct for the male to be imported. That it was $2000 euros. so it would be more in usd. I told her I had verified that amount was usd and her response was no I am sorry you must have misunderstood. So I thought ok maybe I did and sent her the additional plus the $1300 for the deposit on a flashy fawn female pup. So I sent $3450. This was Dec. 2012

As time passed and waiting for the male to be shipped she told be that the cost of shipping went up another $1000 euros and I would have to send more. Not only that but when she received my money to send it was late and the price of the euro chaged so I would have to send more. So I sent her another $1000 for the male to be imported. Now a total of $3000. Things were not adding up but she assured me I could trust her. 

When it came time to ship the male to me I had to send about another $500 to get him to me..now a total of $3500 spent on one male. She would say she hated it to because she had to spend so much. I told her I wanted all receipts to show where all this money went. She said no problem I will ship them all with the puppy. When I got them the did not add up to the amount I sent. When questioned she said she must have lost them but she can assure me every penny went to that puppy and she did not keep any it was split even. 

As time went by I contacted the breeder in which he came from and verified that in fact she did over charge me and kept about $1500+ of my money for herself... Every time I confronted her it was the same story no I am wrong she would never do such a thing..Not to tell anyone what I paid for him.. there would be "haters" but now I know why she did not want me to mention it because she in fact over charged me.

At this time she still had my $1300 deposit on her litter. The litter was born. No flashy female pups. Not only that different sire then what she told me. I passed on all pups. I asked her since she did not produce what I wanted could I have a refund. This was in Feb of 2013. She said she had a 5 litter policy that she had up to 5 litters to produce what was wanted then would return my money. I told her she did not produce what i wanted and the sire was not the same that I shouild get my money back. She would make a big deal on how if she knew this she would have never done this that she would never take a deposit on a specific color pup..I still have the contract and was like right here it states flashy fawn female. 

Then it became we have a no refund policy.  That I would have to take a puppy. April comes and I find a puppy that I fit what I was wanting and purchased her. Told her that I no longer needed a flashy fawn but would take brindle. It was not a problem.. In july she come to me telling me she had a deal for me. She was in a tight spot to get a dog to her and was short $1000. That if I was to send it we would call it even and my pup that I was to get from her would be paid in full, shipping crate, health cert all included. I thought what do i have to lose. I would save some money so did send her the $1000 via paypal. Another contract was written. I was to also get first pick of any of her litters.

Another litter was born with one classic brindle female. I inquired about her. She said she was thinking of keeping her but if I wanted her I could take her. I said let me discuss it with my other half and let you know. A day later told her ok I will take her, she told me sorry she was sold, that you have to be fast or you lose out. I was upset. I then again asked for my money back. she said no I am sorry no refunds. but she has two more litters comming.

The last litter I waited on I was told if I did not find a pup that I liked she would return all my money in full. Litter was born there was only one flashy dark brindle pup that she adviced me was small and the head was to round and would not recommend for me to take it as she wanted me to be happy. So I said ok then you will refund my money in full. She said yes. The final contract I got stated I was no longer owed a puppy but was due $2300.

I was to recieve the first $500 dollar deposit she received and the balance would be paid at 6 weeks of age. I never saw a dime. It was I haven't sold any, I have no money, I am broke..excuse after excuse. She told me she was having a litter and could have first pick female.. I said I would think about it as she didn't have my money.. I said ok if there is no female born or again not one to my liking you will send me my money..afain she said yes.. this is now Oct 2013.

Litter was born I said I would take the only brindle female. A couple weeks later the puppy passed away. I told her I just want my money that is all I wanted I was more than patient. Then she would start with I am broke I have no money, I have to pawn my things..more excused. By this time I knew I was not getting anything. She kept telling me to wait for her next litter.

It is now Dec 2013 one full year she has had my money and I have nothing. She tells me she is going to sell all her dogs. I ask her about the puppy I am waiting for she said don't worry about it you will get it. She was very rude and demeaning..Always talking about all her happy puppy buyers. That she has never had this much trouble until me. 

I decide to take what I can at this point so I am not completely taken. She tried to have me take a classic fawn female pup who looked malnurished and small for 16 weeks. Not only that would not guarentte papers for that pup. I passed because a pup with no paper would do me no good. 

I ask her if she will settle out on an adult. She said ok but I would have to pay an additional $650-$850 for shipping, which was not right as this was to replace a puppy that she could no provide. As I was all paid up. I at first passed. Then when I asked for the one that I wanted she said no I am sorry she is sold. The only one left was a 4 year old female she has listed for $1500. I told her I would take her and call it even. She said again I would be responsible for her shipping. I said ok she is listed for $1500 plus the shipping would be $2100 she would still owe me $200 she was like no I can sell her for $3200. I was like you know what fine I will take her.

So I ended up taken on an import male for $1500 then paid $3200 total for a 4 year old female who to my knowledge had more litters then she would admitt to, that I would be lucky to have one littere from.

Lesson Learned...Stay Away..Nothing but a CON..there are many she has taken from!!
