Etkin & Co. ripoff Walled Lake Michigan
I live at Silverbrooke Villa Apartments, Management Co. is: Etkin & Co. I have had many problems with Maintenance issues. I had a very bad leak in my ceiling coming from my upstairs master bath, that was leaking on to my furniture. It took 2 months of severe aggrevation & daily calling to Apartment complex office & Management Co. to get this problem resolved. I am a single mother & had to hire a Co. to move my furniture (since the complex refused) in order for them to do the repairs.
They had to keep coming back repeatedly because every time they claim they repaired the leak, it continued to leak. Then after they finally replaced my shower, they damaged the bathroom floor. I had to repeatedly beg them to replace the floor. They used my vacum to clean up there mess from drywall & broke it, they used my chair as a ladder & damaged it. I told the management Co. I demanded 1 months rent for all my aggrevation over the 2 month period & all they agreed to do was give me a $200.00 voucher towards my rent. There have been numerous complaints from the majority of the tennants here regarding there bad reputation in maintenance. I pay over $1200.00 per month rent to live here & feel I have been unfairly treated, The leak has been fixed, but the evidence of the damage still shows, due to there "shotty" repair work; ie: drywall/painting.
