Our company, which used to sell on eBay (TITANIUM PowerSellers) partnered with the largest, third-party aftermarket warranty company (SquareTrade) to offer extended warranties for the various consumer products we sold on eBay. We worked with them for years in offering our clients extended warranties to protect their investments. The program was operated completely by SquareTrade (http://www.SquareTrade.com). In December, 2008, SquareTrade decided to no longer offer extended warranties on Microsoft xBox 360 systems, a product we had sold for years on eBay. Unfortunately, SquareTrade never informed the folks offering their warranties that they were no longer offering warranties on the xBox 360's. The person filing this complaint purchased an xBox 360 from us and tried to purchase an extended warranty through SquareTrade. They were told by SquareTrade that the company had decided, a week earlier, to no longer offer extended warranties on these systems. When we were told of this, we immediately contacted SquareTrade and we were informed by our account rep (Tamara Potts) that the decision had been made but that they had not communicated to all of their sellers. In any case, we refunded the Buyer for his xBox purchase. SquareTrade even offered to compensate this individual for their troubles, but they were intent on filing slanderous claims that WE sell fake warranties. That is completely untrue as our company never sold extended warranties. They were always sold SquareTrade, a third-party warranty provider. We hope this clears up this slanderous claim and I would encourage any person reading this claim to look our company up with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Not only are we an Accredited Business with the Southern Colorado Better Business Bureau, but we are also Rated as 'A' by that same organization.
