Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I rented a car from this company, and the owner Alex, wants to try and charge me for things I do not think I should be charged for. He has charged my credit card with out my authorization. I was in the process of moving when he came and took the car from me, I had my 12 year old son's medication in that car, and when I called to get it back he told me NO, i wasn't getting anything out of that car until I paid him $1000.00. When I asked him how I owed him that amount he stated to me I just do.

I explained to him that he took out $364.00 dollars from the beggining and another $30.00 dollars on the day he took the car, so he then stated to me I owed him $700 odd dollars, so I again reminded him of the money he has already taken so he then changed it $478.00 SO he changed the amount 3 times in a matter of 3 minutes. I asked him to show me the reason for the charges and why he thought I owed it to him, he stated to me he did not have to show me anything. I asked him to please at least let me get the laptop and my son's medications for his asthma out of the car and he again told me NO he didn't car and that I was a liar. My son needs to take 6 medications a day to control his asthma and this man stated to me I was a liar and he didn't care about that.

I told him again I would bring him a doctor's note for my son, and he said again he didn't care. I had to pay him for what he felt I owed to him. I just want to get my son's medication out the car, and my laptop, and I do not feel I owe this man any more money

My Dear Melissa, First here at Excel Rent a Car, we appreciate your concern. We work with all of our customers with issues to ensure the best solution possible. I would like to conclude this argument by stating the following: Why are we scam artists? Did we take money out left and right purposely and secretively without notifying you? Melissa, please explain why we are scam artists. In the meantime, let me explain your part. 1) You provided us, a COMPANY, with a fake address and phone number. Why did you do this? Did you "move"? Was it a "typo"? 2) Why did you not call us and let us know when you would return the car? It had been weeks. You had our car. We could not get a hold of you and I apologize for not blowing up your phone with bombardments of phone calls. But.. why? Were you trying to steal the car? Or "were you going to call us you've just been so busy"? 3) We ended up locating where you REALLY WERE, and repossessed our car. We did this due to standard policy, as well as any other rental company would. We gave you the benefit of having the car overtime, as well as enjoying it. However, missed phone calls and FRAUDULENT information that you have provided us led us to believe you were shady, and up to something. I am sorry darling; in the real world, no one would tolerate that. That's theft. That's fraud. That's defiance. 4) We are still short over $450 from you. This DOES NOT include the reposession company we had to hire, as we have established great relations with many helpers that would help us avoid customers like yourselves. Melissa, we will work with anyone, even the ones that attempt to fraud us. You may always contact us at any time with your concern. Just please do not file complaints with companies that you have attempted to cheat, to try and bash them for future trustworthy customers. Thank you.
