Hi, My Name is Ken and I have worked for Eyecare Professionals for 17 plus years. We clearly had some miscomunication with this paitent that I was not aware of. He is correct in that the Opto Map Retinal Scan is not cover by Insurance. We explain this and give written informatin on this Recomended Procedure when paitent is filling out their originial paper work. Most people still chosse to have it done and are impressed with the level of detailed information it give us. This allows us to better detect early visiual problems before they cause life long problems. Insurances Set the guidlines for what portion of any Frame and Lens benifit is allowed. Progressive lenses that provide No line Vision for Ditance, Reading and Close Work do have an additional copay as the retail value of these is over $200. This is never the only choice and all choices are explained to paitent from a written guideline give to use for each paitent directly from the insurance company. This guide is also available to each paitent on line from their insurance. It is spelled out clearly in writing with nothing hidden! If words where exchanged in frustration I apologize. We all go out of our way for paitent and appreciate they are why we have a Job. I would be gladly to speak to anyone concerning our service and assure you you will be happy to work with us. Call me or ask for me when you come by. Thanks for your Time. Ken Jones 561-588-3896
