The Fashion For Charity Gala / City Girl Beauty Project which Samuel Roberts held on April 14, 2015 was a ripoff. The event agenda that was advertised on the organization’s website: fashionforcharitygala.org did not occur during the event at all. Therefore I did not receive the services that I paid for.

I purchased the ICON level ticket (2 VIP tickets for $750) and attended the event with a guest.

The following agenda – stated on the organization’s website for ICON ticket holders – simply did not occur at the event: VIP reception | Acknowledgement in event program | Backstage Access | Front Row | Press Interview | Press Photo Opp

-There was no reception whatsoever! Only round dinner tables that we sat at all night from start to finish.

-There was no event program.

-There was no front row at the fashion show, we were sitting at the same round dinner tables that we sat at all night.

-There was no backstage access.

-I just happen to know one of the press photographers present at the event, and it was he who invited me to take a picture, that is the only reason I was able to partake in the “press photo opp” as there were no staff directing VIPS to take photos and the photographers weren’t interested in snapping shots of anyone but the quasi-celebrities.

-No press interview whatsoever.

-The event hosts which the organization advertised as Tyson Beckford and Miss USA Nia Sanchez, did not show up until circa 10pm. The New York Post Page Six reported on the fact that Mr. Beckford showed up at the tail end of the event in their April 15, 2015 issue.

Additionally, the event was completely un-organized and ran very late from the beginning… the  event actually started at 8:40pm… over an hour past the advertised 7pm start time… leaving guests bored and confused, wandering around attempting to figure out what was going on with no staff directing traffic.

-No coat check, no guest check-in, no staff advising guests.

-No bar… we waited over an hour for drinks to be available and once they were I have never seen drinks handled so poorly - the staff who had no idea what to do -  they provided just one watered down “featured cocktail” for the night with no other beverage options to choose from, and then the cheapest wine when that cocktail ran out 1 hour later - lousy catering staff who did not clear plates from those rubbery hor d’oeuvres to the yucky main course… the tables were left with dirty plates from each course all night.

-I was severely embarrassed in front of my guest.

-The event organizer, Samuel Roberts, did not arrive until the event was almost over.

A refund in full is due based on the fact that the organization/Samuel Roberts is a fraud, scamming people out of their money by not providing the services they advertised. I have contacted the organization with this matter and have not received a response back. Instead, Samuel Roberts copied pictures that my guest took of me that night and posted them to his social media without my consent.
