Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My name is Albert V and i am contact your company because I feel I've fallen victim to a car title loan where after speaking to a customer service representative at Fast Auto Loans on 2/10/18 and explaining my current disability status which caused myself to fall behind 2 payments. My main concern in speaking to Laura was to not loose my vehicle to repossession as it was my only means of transportation and needed to come to some kind of agreement/solution as I found myself struggling with all my bills due to my injury. The young lady on the phone(Laura) assured me that would not happen and no repo order had been made and should a demand for payment/repo had been done I would have received something in the mail, which I hadn't.

In a matter of 2 days I had 2 gentlemen knocking on my door indicating they where there to take possession of my vehicle which immediately made me feel I was lied to and deceived by Laura who I explained in detail my situation and my wanting to catch up with my payment. The day my truck was taken was 2/13/18 and from that day forward I called Fast Auto Loans to inquire about my vehicle and to speak with Laura and always told i would be receiving detailed information regarding the steps required to regain my vehicle and Laura was always unavailable.

Today I finally received the info on my vehicle. However the Notice of Plan to sell my Property, Notice of Repossesion and Intent to sell as well as the Request For Extention not to auction! Are all dated 2/13/18 but their business envelope these documents came in is stamped and dated by the US post office sent 3/6/18. Which clearly is past the deadline of myself trying to meet to save my vehicle. It all seems so unfair to myself. Especially with a wife and 2 children. That vehicle was our only transportation. I initially borrowed $1,500.00 at a time when I really had to at the time. And i was paying 2x a month $240. My original loan of $1,500.00 from Fast Auto was going to cost me more than $4000.00 more on top of when all payments back would have been finalized. But as of today Fast Auto has added to the principle balance along with an itomized additional fees incurred! The balance needed to be paid in full to get my vehicle back is $7187.00 on 2006 Jeep Commander that regret every day since that ever stepped into their office. Can you please assist myself and family with any kind of guidance, information, direction or rights I may have in this ridiculous scam I stupidly got myself into? Thank you for your time

1.  Your need of a car - even your DESPERATE need of a car- is nobody's problem but yours.  I'm pretty positive that your contract does not say that you can skip payments or make "other arrangements" if you are injured or for any other reason.

2.  That you had no other way of getting the money other than taking out this loan is, also, nobody's problem but yours.  I'm just as positive that your contract does not say "since the debtor is desperate, we'll cut him a lot of slack when he can't pay."

3.  Your payment schedule, interest paid, etc. is all very interesting but immaterial to your claim that you are being ripped off in any way.  You signed a contract.  Unless the creditor is trying to get more money out of you than the contract demands, you are just engaging in buyer's remorse here.   Yes, Title Loans are really awful.  But nobody tazered you and made you sign a contract at gunpoint.  Complaining after the fact is kind of pointless.

4.  When you don't pay for a vehicle you agreed to pay for, it is entirely within the rights of the creditor to reclaim the vehicle and sell it to someone who WILL pay for it.  If they treated every customer the way you want to be treated, they'd be out of business in a month.   You seem to want special consideration because unlike all those deadbeats, you are a decent, hard-working person who just caught some bad breaks.  I feel sorry for you, but you weren't ripped off.  You have problems you are trying to deflect upon someone else.  Good luck getting your act together.
