The first thing you should ask is did your husband take out a loan with this company. also is your husband also an authorized user of your account?
This company got your account information by one of two ways. 1) your husband took out a loan and supplied the information or 2) there has been identity theft and someone has your information to obtain a loan.
If identity theft has occurred you and your husband should file a police report and contact all 3 credit reporting agencies and place a fraud warning on each.
The check you describe is an electronic check and are valid checks used in electronic transfer of funds.
