I contacted Father's Choice via the website www.fatherschoice.org, was called back by a representative who described the services they would offer and the cost.

I was told the cost of initial representation for all documents would be included in the premier service package, $750 in addition to the $250 introductory cost. I was promised a case manager with daily access and support. I was promised to be represented in responding to my divorce, my child custody issue, domestic violence, restraining order and family support.

Prior to my court date I called and left several messages for my case manager with no response. I called customer service and was notified that he was on medical leave, and there would be a replacement forthwith. I emailed and called again the week prior to my case and was not contacted back. I finally made a plea with the customer service rep who put me in touch with a paralegal to draft my pleading. She promised it to me prior to my court date. On the day of court I had document to file...she emailed it to me that morning but I was already at court.

After court I contacted them for my future court dates regarding other matters. I was told that my case was closed and they would not provide me with any further documents without another payment of $750. I argued and demanded they comply with the contract. They hung up on me. I cancelled they contract immediately. They since have not returned any of my phone calls.

I am planning on filing a small claims action in the county of their business. Contact me if you have any concerns or questions. I am a paralegal student in CA and I know how bad this company is now. I could have drafted that document myself. I expected the attorney to provide me with relevant subject material to my case, not, "just be respectful and honest and it will be fine". Their claim of attorney support is false and constitutes a breech of contract.
