This is not a complaint...yet.

When our children were small we ordered and received a couple of children's movies from Feature Films for Families. No mention was made of any subscription and no unordered merchandise was received. The films we did order arrived in good condition and the kids enjoyed them. We never placed another order and believed the issue to be closed.

About 6 months ago we began receiving phone calls every few days, first from Feature Films for Families (Caller ID), then from a David and Brenda (disguise?), finally from Customer Service (no company name appeared).

Our children are now 27 and 24. We have no need for children's films. Nor do we have any need for the constant phone calls. We repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list, but were told we'd have to call 'XYZ-1234' (or something) during business hours to be removed. We explained repeatedly that we had never agreed to be placed on any call list and felt no responsibility to make such a call at any time.

Today, a call from Customer Service (no company listed) came in. My wife took the call and demanded to be removed from any and all call lists. After several minutes of haggling, begging, pleading to just place one more order, all to no avail, the caller agreed to delete our name and number from the list.

Just a note: When the Caller ID showed David & Brenda, the caller always asked to speak with the lady of the house. That was without first identifying themselves. Improper phone etiquette to say the least.

We'll see what the outcome will be in a few days, I'm sure.
