Federal Pacific Credit Company ripoff tried to collect on already written off debt Salt Lake City Utah
I was recently contacted by Federal Pacific Credit Company about an old credit card account. Previously, LHR, Inc had tried to collect this from me. They even went as far as serving me with a court summons after I asked them for debt verification (which they never provided). They never actually filed a case in court.
The court clerk told me that since they didn't file within the time allowed after I was served, it was too late for them to file and that was the end of it. LHR then sold the account to Federal Pacific Credit Company, which is calling me to try to get me to pay them even though they already know that LHR tried to take me to court and was unsuccessful because they never followed through on it.
