Dear Mr. Bales,
I just wanted to thank you and your staff for keeping me informed on Artie Dufur's case. I have really enjoyed working with Joyce Maxie. Because of her professionalism and speedy response to any of my
concerns, I feel assured that Artie's case is being handled with much care and consideration. I appreciate
all that you have both done and are doing. I would recommend your company to anyone. Thank you
again.
Sincerely,
Lorraine Veillett

I hired Federal Prison Consultants almost two years ago. I have found them to be very
knowledgeable and very helpful and very passionate in helping people who are being
sentenced and have been in prison. Their compassion also extends to the families of
inmates.
They always return calls and emails and they work very hard to keep on top of the case
they were retained. They are with you from the beginning of the sentence and stay with
you until the time has come for release.
Federal Prison Consultants also are here to help with inmate matters that require
outside assistance and know what is needed and who to contact to get answers from
the Dept. of Federal Prisons.
I have found Mr. Bales to be honest with me and help me when my family member
needs his guidance. It does help to have someone to talk to about the Prison system
and the answers may not be what we want to hear but what you will hear is, why
something is or is not possible and how to go about the best possible way to have a
case heard by the right officials so that the inmates best interests are being presented.
Sincerely, Pam B.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to recommend Mr. Ed Bales to anyone who might need
his services. After serving my sentence in the Federal system, I was transferred to a halfway
house in Cleveland, Ohio. The halfway house was a nightmare. It was filthy and
disgusting. Their claims of being a "reentry program" were not true at all. After
completing all my requirements to be eligible to go on home confinement, I was told they
would get to my paperwork when they had time. Time after time I was lied to and giving
false information. Even though I had done everything they had required of me and had no
incident reports in both Federal Prison and in the halfway house, they refused to complete
my paperwork to allow me to go home. My husband and I then enlisted the help of Mr.
Bales. After the first conversation with Mr. Bales, I finally felt relief that there was an
advocate for my situation. He made the phone calls to the BOP and discovered that the
halfway house was holding up my paperwork. He requested answers from the halfway
house but they were unwilling to answer him. He then contacted the BOP and made them
aware of my situation. He made many follow up calls, emails, and faxes and stayed on
top of the situation. He kept my husband and I informed of the progress. I was released 4
days later. It was such a relief to finally be going home to my family. I am confident that
had Mr. Bales not intervened, I would have not been released. My only regret is that we
had not contacted him sooner. If you find yourself or a family member in need of his
services, please take this recommendation into consideration.
Sincerely,
Bridget Varnes

Mr. Bales and his staff has always been RIGHT there when I needed information or any
consultation. They were very prompt with the e-mails that I sent out. And they have worked
closely with my family to make sure that I was always treated fairly in what ever the case
may have been. As I write this email, Mr. Bales and his staff are currently working on some
important things that are going on with my halfway house. I certainly put my stamp of
approval on Mr. Bales and the FBC.

I apologize for taking nearly a week to respond to your request. The new chemo and meds
really knocked me for a loop. I am just now able to sit up at this keyboard long enough to
finally answer your e-mail. I've got an idea: I'm going to send you a blank e-mail
and request that you write my testimonial for me. Mentally, I'm just not able to put into
writing just how grateful and blessed I am to have come under your kind care-- please express
for me what I feel and sign my full name attesting to it. Thank you so much Ed, and I
certainly hope I'm not too late to get onto your web page. I'm from Houston, Texas.
Sincerely, Maurice

I would like to take a moment and reflect on the accomplishments of Federal Prison
Consultants as it pertains to my case. I live in the state of Missouri and when I was
sentenced to 63 months for 1 count of Wire Fraud I consulted with the personnel at
Federal Prison Consultants to help me through the process of my prison time. They have been
very beneficial to me in the aspect of helping me with my medical issues and hopefully
accomplishing even more with time. I have had them file formal requests for me on my
behalf. I would highly recommend this firm for future use when you get into the situation
of having to do Prison time in the BOP system.
Thank You,
Mathew W.

This is a very reputable company and well respected nationwide. Anyone who does their proper research will see many news articles and videos in which major network TV stations have requested opinions and done in depth interviews with Mr. Bales; particularly and recently, the Bernie Madoff Matter.
I, myself, hired Federal Prison Experts to do some work on behalf of my fiance`, who is in federal prison. Mr. Bales kept in constant contact with me and updated me with each step he took. I was copied with all emails and reports that were filed on behalf of my fiance`. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who requires any of the services the company has to offer.
Oh, and guess what? I was a 59 year old woman at the time and Mr. Bales was nothing buy kind and helpful.
As for the paperwork he sent you....you said yourself that it was a contract and a release form which means you also knew EXACTLY what to do with them. Obviously, they required your signature....it's not that hard!
As for getting your husband and Cathy's husband confused, I can see how that would be easily done if you had him talking to so many different people on one case.....and I thought you said you couldn't reach him? Looks like you spoke with him several times to me.
I sincerely believe that the person who wrote this false report only did so because they were not successful in obtaining the result that they were looking for. I think they were angry and retaliated in the only way they knew how. Since I work for an attorney, I know that when doing the kind of work that Federal Prison Experts does, there is a code of ethics which they must operate by and within that code is a rule that there can be no promises or guarantees made regarding the outcome of the specific matter at hand.
It's sad that this person felt compelled to slam such a reputable company as Mr. Bales' company. I hope that others who are researching him and his company do a THOROUGH search in order that they see all the positive work they have done, as well as all the interviews they have done nationwide.

On December 7th, 2009 the case between Jackie Biagioni vs Federal Prison Consultants Et Al was dismissed because Jackie Biagioni did not prove her case. She was acting in a vindictive and malicious capacity because she and another client had hired Federal Prison Consultants and used bad acts to merit their actions. The State Court in Delaware Case JP13-09-007557 was denied and dismissed and judgement was awarded to Federal Prison Consultants and Ed Bales was dismissed from the action totally. It was Court 13 in New Castle County and the JP was the Honorable Katharine B. Ross. We encourage anyone to reference this case. Federal Prison Consultants nor Ed Bales has ever been sued before and Mr. Bales has been a pioneer in the prison advocacy field for over a decade.
No everyone can get everthing they want, nor can we provide any type of guarantee etc. Clients are aware of this in our notice. We do work hard to help people and have excellent references from attorneys around the country, as well as past and present clients.
Based on this slander that has been ruled on, Federal Prison Consultants and Mr. Bales may be taking action against these parties unless a rebuttal is given.

We have offices provided to us in every state by Regus. We use these offices when a client or potential client utilizes our services via a paid appointment, including New Jersey. Federal Prison Consultants, LLC From Home Page: Our Corporate Offices are located in Wilmington, Delaware. Federal Prison Consultants, LLC has teamed up with The Regus Group Network, which has offices and meeting rooms all across the United States, in hundreds of cities. Face-to-face meetings are usually reserved for trial preparation or expert witness testimony. The majority of our clients do not go to trial and teleconferencing is the preferred method of communication, since most of our federal and state prison or sentencing consultants are retired paralegal, criminal justice and/or correctional professionals.

While I can not comment on the case at hand because our attorney will be taking action in the very near future, I can tell you that this client is clearly incorrect and slanderous in her remarks and decided not to follow the instructions or allow us to complete our services because of reasons that I can not discuss at this time. I can say to refer to the first paragraph of her nonsense about me requesting money and her getting paperwork and not having any way of send it back to us. I am attaching the original email she received with her with the contract. She received it and replied to it receiving the contract and paperwork. I have this and it will be used in the civil proceeding. While that should be enough to show that when you make such complete slanderous statements in your first paragraph, what credibility does she have left, NONE! Here is the emai I sent: From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Sent: Mon, 15 Dec 2008 6:25 pm Subject: Re: Paperwork Hi Jackie: The paperwork is attached. Please review page 2 of the Release Agreement. It has services and wiring information. Please fax all the paperwork to 302-397-2409. If you decide to overnight everything with a cashier's check to save the wiring fee, please call XXXXX and send it directly to the NJ Offices because I will be there this week. Also, please send a PSI and other information that we spoke about. If you have any questions, please feel free to call my cell at 302-341-9212 or the toll-free below. We all look forward to advocating for the case at hand. Warm Regards, Ed Bales Managing Director Federal Prison Consultants, LLC -------------------------------------------------------------- As you can see, she not only had our fax number to send the documents back to, she also had my direct cell phone and our toll-free number. I have this email and it will be made public will other email that prove slander AFTER a civil case has been filed. When you go to the home page of Ripoff report it tells you to weigh the information. I have been working as a prison consultant since 2000, about 10 years. While not every client can receive a positive decision, there is not much negative information out there because we have done our job and I go out of my way to help clients. I will also post some comments from present clients in the near future that will tell you they call me all hours of the night and I answer their calls or return their calls within a day and usually the day they called. It is unfortunate that this client did not even give us the opportunity to finish our work and allowed a "friend" who was turned down as a client because she played games with the company to reach this degree of disgust and slander on people that were trying to help her husband.
