Fingerhut ripoff filed collection report on stereo that was returned after several attempts to repair deceptive company dirty ripoff dogs dirty ripoff liars dirty SOB's mistreated and ripped off outlandish ripoff late fees political corruption by Fingerhut Catalog nationwide
We purchased a stero for my son,s Christmas present and it arrived late but in January. We gave it to him and about two weeks later it began blowing fuses. as soon as you would put in a new fuse it would blow it. We returned it for a new one and about seven months later we still had not received it. The company contacted us for payment, and we told them we would not pay for stero we didn't have. They denied having received it, however, when confronted with no payments it suddenly show up.
We made payment and about two weeks later, this stero developed the same problem blowing fuses. By this time our son had moved to Sedalia, and we were told to take it to a local repair shop, they kept it about a month and returned it to us saying they were unable to repair it. Again we contacted fingerhut and were told they could do nothing as it was now more than a year old. We made a special trip to Kansas City, Mo. and took it to a repair center. It was there for about six weeks and cost another fifty dollars to repair. Again we were told it was out of warrenty, however, not wanting to disappoint my son I paid the bill under protest. We took it home and this time it lasted about three weeks.
I was mad and so I packaged it up and returned a third time at my expense. Fingerhut replaced with another stero which also blew fuses almost from the start. We put the stero up and contacted Fingerhut and told them we were not paying and more payments on this worthless piece of junk they called a stero, and as soon as they paid the postage they could have it back.
I wasn't paying postage, I had already paid over $600 dollars in payment and all of the stero's together with repairs and all didn't last three monthes. On top of this I was out $15 dollars to return it twice and $50 dollars in repairs. Iwasn't throwing good money after bad any more.
