Firestone Shoddy work go to a real mechanic Ripoff Austin Texas
I went to the firestone at 15101 N. IH 35 (35 & Wells Branch) for warranty work on my tires wile There I decided to have the radiator flushed. I picked up my vehicle and went to a nearby grocery when I looked under the hood to verify the flush was completed the reserve bottle was near empty and had dirty and rusty antifreeze. I then went back to Firestone to get my money back as I was not going to let them touch my vehicle at this point and I had had assumed the work was not done at all. After discussing it with the service manger he went and got the shop manager to look at it he swore the work was done properly after taking off the hot radiator cap to show me the fresh antifreeze when I pointed out the dirty antifreeze he asked me what do you expect me to do remove the bottle (he could just have removed the hose at the bottom). A flush is supposed to get all the old antifreeze and dirt out of the system so I do expect them to drain the reserve and heater core. I left pissed after a few choice words the next day after thinking about it I opened the cap then turned the heater on sure enough they did not flush the core either. Bottom line if you want the work done right stay away from firestone especially if you don't now much about vehicles.
