I got a call in April of 2003. To which a woman told me for the price of $269.00 I would receive a mastercard with a limit of $10,000.00 and a visa of $2,000.00 for which to correct my credit or use for anything I wanted. I was told this credit card would have no more than an 18% interest rate and that you work with over 30 Banks to help re-establish credit. I was also told that I would have my packet and credit cards to use any way I would like .. Cash advances, balance transfers etc... and I should have this by no later than 7 - 10 days. My checking account was debited on the 18th of April.

When going through my binder there is NO CREDIT CARDS IN THERE. There is an application for a SECURED credit card in which I will have to pay $39.99 for and an additional $10.00. I was told by a confirmation man that I would never have to pay for any fees for the $10,000.00 credit card. I was never told about a Secured credit card.

What a scam this is. I was totally mis directed and mislead by your their whole telemarketing speech.

I called on Monday and a OPERATOR answered and said someone will call me back in 1 hr. NO CALLS the whole day. I called on Tuesday same answer the lady is just an operator and this is not a scam and she will put my call in as urgent for someone to call me back NO CALLS.

I then attempted my 14th phone call to First Approval and a lady - customer service person answered the phone. I was informed to contact Peter Fleming by either fax or written letter.

I then called in and got a Shawn Harris. He said he has me on tape. He then said he doesn't know what the inital person who talked to me had promised me and they do not do refunds.

Watch out for telemarket credit card scam

My sister-in-law fell prey to this very scam. These scum feed on people with bad credit. Never ever give anyone money up front for an opportunity to obtain unsecured credit cards. If your credit is bad you almost always will be refused unsecured credit from any bank. These scum tell you anything over the phone and then you always find out that they charged you an outrageous fee for applications to obtain secured credit cards only, something you can do yourself at any bank. If you still decide to go through these telemarketers, ask them to put everything in writing, I bet they won't, and if they refuse just hang up the phone. You must slowly build your credit rating back up until someone will take a chance on you for unsecured credit. Good luck
