in December 2003, after paying a one time fee, first atlantic bank promised to issue me a credit card. instead of receiving a card they sent a kit with basic information on health issues, ophrah winfees misc info, prescription plan info all basic knowlege you see in the news everyday. i returned the kit within the time frame for a refund.

a refund i was promised within 10 days of returning. as of now (March 18) has been over 60 days. they play games on the telephone, disconnect in the middle of the conversation, act rudely, state someone from the administration office must talk to you on the phone before a refund can be issued, or that my phone has a block and they cannot get through, my phone has no block, never had that feature been provided by the phone company and they have checked my line found no reason anyone can not get through.

With me on another phone line the first atlantic rep would try the number I gave let me listen they get through I answer it talk and they say wait a minute and the second try they cannot get through.then first atantic says the credit card has been mailed another time information has been mailed to me for signatures and nothing is has ever been received. i have been lied to severval, treated rudely.

I have talked to customer service personal, supervisors and administrative personel. i have been a victim of a scam and i want to let others know to beware.This off guard action has cost me $249.00 down the drain. the main office for this company is in canada.

giving me the silent treatment

First Atlantic Bank has stopped all communications and are giving me the silent treatment. It appears to me that they are not going to right any wrong doing. Preston Langley or nor anyone else from the Adminstrative office can be reached. I have been the victim of a scam.

Shortly after filing the Ripoff report against First Atlantic Bank, Champlain, New York,I was contacted via phone by a representative of the First Atlantic Bank Champlain, New York. He told me the bank did not want to protray the image of a Ripoff, it was a misunderstanding and ask for 7 days to investigate. After the 7 days I was not contacted as promised. I faxed a letter, then received a call from the same representative who stated he had been out sick, and was on his way home when we finished the conversation. He wanted to know who all I had made a complaint too and that the bank was very unhappy about the situation, they had satified customers, I just caught at the bottom of the barrel through misunderstanding. He stated the bank officials wanted a retraction of the RipOff Report I filed. I advised the representative, when I received my refund. I would update the report to show we had reached a satifactory aggrement. The reply; if I did not retract the report I would be dealing with their lawyers and that was not a treat. I repield; If I was treated fairly in the first place there would not have been a need for a report. Refund my money an the matter would end.He promised to have the refund in my account by April 12, 2004,to check my account and to please call him to remind him on that day. I made three calls and was told the representative was not found on the floor or their process was they type a message in the computer and he would have to call me back there was no way to transfer a call. Today is April 14, 2004 there is no refund in my account. I have no choice but to go to the next level. I have given Rirst Atlantic Bank every opportunity to be fair.
