Estimate of $5660.60 was given to me to move, Carrier came and wanted 9400.0 to move belongings, from WA to PA, which is unacceptable.
Problem Date 08/15/2013
Order Nbr: B5650370
Salesrep: Eli Shag
Down Payment: 2040.00

I talked with a sales rep named Eli who gave me an estimate of 5660.60 to move my belongings from WA to PA. I went with him on the Phone room by room telling him what was in each room. He convinced me that they could do the job and that they would be there on the 15th of August, I told him that it had to be the 15th because we needed to be on the road by the 16th because we needed to be in PA by the 20th of August and we were driving our vehicles cross country, he stated no problem.

The items list was set and we agreed to 40 large boxes and 110 small boxes. I only ended up having 80 boxes. There was numerous furniture.

The carrier came on the 15th at around 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and immediately wanted to revise the estimate to 9400.00 saying that we had way to much stuff. We tried calling First Call mover and got very rude customer service that told us that we had to sign the revised estimate or we would lose our deposit, then they hung up. We called again and asked to talk to Eli our salesrep, they stated that we are not allowed to talk to him anymore because our order has been booked already. So we tried to talked to customer service and all they would say to us is you signed the contract and you will lose your deposit if you do not sign the revised estimate with the carrier. They were very rude to us and would not even work with us on the matter.

So we clearly stated to the carrier that we would go by the by exactly what is on the items list and with less boxes I only had 80 boxes not 150. I even took off the dog house and the grill that was on the list and they still wanted 9200.00, VERY UNACCEPTABLE AMOUNT WAY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WAS QUOTED.... So we said NO. The carrier left and I had to scramble to find another carrier to move the load to did it for much less than the carrier they sent.

I next day I went and put in a refund request and got a response that because I signed the contract and that I cancelled the order that they were denying my request for a refund.
