Flowers By Henry Ripoff - Beware of shady business practices!!! Wake Forest North Carolina
A family member generously decided to surprise me with some flowers. Unfortunately, they chose to place the order with Flowers by Henry. The order was for a rather large bouquet... judging from their website, similar ones cost $90-120 so I am assuming that is how much this one cost.
I was not home when the flowers arrived -- however, Flowers by Henry had my telephone number (it was listed on the gift tag along with my address). Rather than call me to ask where they should leave the flowers, or if it was okay to leave them with a neighbor, they carelessly left them outside my front door in full sun on a hot day! When I arrived home several hours later, the flowers were completely wilted and had begun to turn brown.
What kind of florist operates like this??! My family member spent a great deal of money on these flowers plus a ridiculous delivery fee, and this florist just leaves them outside exposed to the elements for an unknown period of time. Why do they ask for the recipient's telephone number if they have no intention of calling that person to ask where they should leave the delivery? They obviously do not care -- they already had their money for this order and that was all that mattered to them.
Interestingly, I received another floral arrangement from someone else that same day, from another florist in Wake Forest. THAT florist had the courtesy to go ahead and leave them with my neighbor, who in turn gave them to me that evening in perfect condition. I will make sure everyone knows about this experience with Flowers by Henry so that they will not be ripped off like I and my family were.
