flying h trucking company henderson group failed to pay wages owed for time worked... gladewater, Texas
i was hired by this company on june 1st 2010 and reported to work on tuesday june 2,2010 for orientation as a professional cdl driver and the said owner mitch henderson over a telephone conversation said he would pay me for oriantation pay of $100 dollars which would help me for gas to travel 86 miles per day to and from his employment facility and that i would be paid after i completed oriantation which i did complete in 2 days and on third day i was put in a truck with another driver to be trained simple operations of paper work and customers locations for which i was hired for and what my job would consist of doing on a day to day basis and then on friday june 6,2010 i was out all day working with another driver training again and spent 10 hrs on the road working and apon returning to yard i was told to report again on monday june 9,2010 and at that point said owner mitch henderson group/flying h trucking said that contract for which i was hired for terminated or cancelled and that he didnt have any work for me and that i would be paid by june 23,2010 and now its june 28,2010 and i called company and mitch henderson said he would not pay me for services rendered and was very cruel and mean to me and nasty and very unprofessional....i have filed a complaint with united states department of labor in liu of money owed to me and i am waiting now for the investagation to end and my money to be paid to me....i have my documents to prove my actions and every professional driver needs to heed warning.....get your documents in black and white....but be very careful in deciding which company you want to work for because not every company is a good company to work for and companys that operate like this is not a very good company at all....

it pretty bad when an owner of trucking companys tells the working public by telephone conversation that they will pay you for your time and training,but when the time has come down to the nitty gritty,and all said and done,they back out of what they say and lie to the people just so they can COVER-UP the truth of what they said.....the united states department of labor has been notified and a report has been filed against this company so the working class people who read these reports will be notified about all these faulty and negitive companys that lie to the working class people and will also show and prove misleading information and not take trucking companys seriously because all these trucking companys do not care about no one but themselfs.....they tell you this and they tell you that,but when it all comes down to the bottom line.....they will screw the working people with out no hesitation.....WORKING CLASS PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS BEWARE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>THIS COMPANY IS NOT A RESPECTABLE COMPANY>>>>>>>>>>>>THEY ARE A SCAM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

INDIVIDUAL IN QUESTION WHO FILED COMPLAINT CLEARLY, READ, SIGNED AND UNDERSTOOD THAT ORIENTATION, FILLING OUT APPLICATION, AND TAKING A DOT MANDATED DRIVING TEST WERE ON A NON-COMPENSATED BASIS. HE FAILS TO MENTION THAT HE SIGNED A FORM AGREEING TO THIS AND UPON FAILING ORIENTATION PROMPTLY FILED A UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIM AS APPARANTLY HE WAS ON UNEMPLOYMENT.
WE REGRET WE CANNOT HIRE EVERY APPLICANT, BUT HE HAD NO REASON TO EXPECT PAY FOR THIS FUNCTION ANY MORE THAN THOSE WHO TRAVEL BY BUS TO OTHER CITIES AND ARE PUT UP BY THE BIG COMPANIES ONLY TO BE SENT HOME UNHIRED. THEY ALSO RECIEVE NO PAY FOR ACCOMPANYING A SR DRIVER ON A SHORT RUN AS THIS MAN DID.
IRONICALLY, THE DEPT OF LABOR DOES NOT INVESTIGATE THESE MATTERS AS THAT IS A STATE FUNCTION THRU TWC, BUT THAT MIGHT INTERRUPT HIS UNEMPLOYMENT
