Ripoff Report also learned, in the course of the review, that the company is extremely responsive when and if the company knows about an issue that might arise with a student. The information provided in this report is based on comments made by Geoffery Chadwick during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward Fortune Builders.

Fortune Builders is a real estate education company that has developed education tools and platforms in order to provide their clients with the highest quality information to further develop their real estate careers. Fortune Builder's goals are for their customers to develop real estate education for buyers and investors to buy, hold, redevelop, and or manage real property. Geoffery Chadwick went on to state the following, "there is no specific area of real estate emphasized, but each course and coaching package is aimed at what the client wants to do and their comfort level in dealing with real estate.”

The leads for Fortune Builders are developed through several different avenues including referrals, radio advertisements, television advertisements, direct mail, and online inquires. Once an initial interest has been made Mr. Chadwick explains the typical experience a client would receive with Fortune Builders, "clients are offered at attend a free two hour seminar. It is mostly a informative show of real estate techniques, then they are offered an opportunity to attend a three day training course at a cost of $197.00." The training course offers in depth details and training materials for the client's review.



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION FROM FORTUNEBUILDERS

During the onsite interview Mr. Chadwick was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Chadwick explained that the complaints Fortune Builder is most aware of involve the sales approach and pitch at the seminars. Some customers are unaware of the dedication necessary to effectively own real estate, and they request their $197.00 back. Mr. Chadwick explained that when this happens, "our policy, at the time, was a delayed return of their money within 7-10 days. We have since streamlined the refund policy to within 48 hours of their request and that has proven to be satisfactory to the clients. We also made the offer for clients to cancel at the end of the 1st day of the seminar instead of at the end." These complaints were at the local workshops in San Diego, and at other workshops throughout the United States and Canada.

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Chadwick stated the following, "if the client was not satisfied with the product or service promised, perceived or not, a simple phone call to the office would have rectified the problem in the clients favor." Fortune Builders is a company dedicated to education and customer service. This can be shown through their many clients who are successfully selling, owning, and redeveloping properties.

They are masters at getting you all hyped up.  They play very uplifting music,  they get you beliving that they will take you in,  making you part of their FORTUNE BUILDERS FAMILY.  Yes,  just like  some family members they borrow money and u never see it again. Fortune Builders is worse,  they make you believe  that  you can have a life of the wealthy. That  for a small investment in yourself to have a almost perfect life,  go where you want to go, buy what you want to buy at anytime.  They almost get you under a Fortune Builders trance. By the  time the weekend is over,  you want what they have made you believe. They have a food collection from all the attendees making themselves look good, even tho they did not put one item in. Still you think good of them for helping the hungry.    

By the second day(oh Also, you paid $197.00 to be here too)   In my group there was over 300 people in attendance.  That would be the lowest of the fees.   You will actually feel  like you want to go up and thank the spe  Imagine that you thank them for making you want to give them more  money   lots of it.  The program that they offered that day was $33, 000,  and everyone in the room seemed to want to sign up. took two days to get thru all that signed up. Out of the over 300 people only I think only 30 people were selected to join. They were the only ones that could pay that amount of money. However fear not,,,,,,  you more than likely receive a phone call the next week,  to offer you another chance  to invest in your self, for a fee of course.  The even will tell you how to pay for it.  They have a pretty good idea what  you will be able to pay or not pay, or to give you ideas how to get it. In my case it was apply for additional credit cards and report back to them what you have been able to get.  The credit cards came in, I maxed out the new cards to fortune builders. I had a pretty good credit score,  now its down over 200 points. Plus I can't pay my bills, and funny no one from Fortune Builders calls me to see how I'm doing. How foolish was I?  If I can help one person not fall prey to these vultures. I'll feel a bit better. Also what else I have discovered,  is they have  multiple, multiple programs with different prices. I got taken for $12,000.

I searched our database and coaching call notes to see if you had reached out to us recently to let us know about your issue and somehow we had missed it. Unfortunately, I could not find anything that matched what you describe above so please contact me directly because this is the first I am hearing about this and I want to make sure you get taken care of right away.

Also, I do think it is important to clarify a few points made in this post. Saying we are a scam I don't think is fair. I am not claiming that I or anyone in our company is perfect. We make mistakes and we very well could have not known about this student's issue. I do believe there is a big difference between a scam and our company not being aware of an issue. 

We have had thousands of successful students who have come through this program over the past seven years. Over that time frame we have been consistently delivering two to three live training classes every single week. Likewise, we conduct hundreds of coaching calls with our students each week. 

I personally teach a lot of our online classes in addition to our multi-day advanced bootcamps and academies that we hold numerous times throughout the year. We also have a staff of a couple hundred hard working people who contribute to this program and our students education in various ways. That being said we do make mistakes and the most important thing is we learn from those mistakes and get them corrected. I would like to learn from this situation, diagnose what happened, and see how we can improve. 

I also think it is important to respond to the comments made about our charitable events. We do organize and put on many charitable events each year through FBgives.com. I also run a non-profit charitable organization for children with my wife called the Equal Footing Foundation. I am personally not aware of any charitable event we have hosted or organized that our company does not personally donate too.
