First I called the shop and asked if they had a transmission for a 94 homda civic and a power steering pump in stock as it stated on there website. When they confirmed they did have it I asked if it was already pulled from the car which he stated it was and ready to go. I drove over an 1-1/2 hours to there location.

When i got to the location he informed me that it wasnt out the car and they were still getting it out to go get something to eat and come back in a half an hour. we left and returned an hour later giving them an additional 30 minutes to the time they asked and they still were not ready. We waited there another 25 minutes til they were finally done. I paid them the money and they put the parts in the back of my trunk

Its was about 4 hours later when i arrived home to start working on the clients car. I then proceeded to take out the dipstick from the transmission which i had a hard time getting out. When i got it out the dipstick was ate up pretty badly and severly bent. Overall the transmision did not look good to me and i did not feel comfortable installing it in my clients car.

I then called Fosters Garage (only 4 hours later after i bought the parts) and explained to him the situation. He then continously kept telling me the transmission was fine and that i needed to install the transmission in order for the warranty to take affect. I explained to him that i could tell there was a problem with the transmission, that its not normal for a dipstick to be bent like that and I didnt want to lose my time on labor and seals for a transmission that i see a problem with now. I told him he could just give me a new transmission i wasnt even requesting my money back.

He told me if after i installed the transmission if there was a problem he would come over and take care of it. Against my better judgement i went ahead and installed the transmission (losing hours of labor time, seals and transmissiom fluid). When i installed it, it was evident the tranmission was defective it was making a terrible noise.

Around the time i had installed the transmisson i went to look at the Power steeering pump i purchased from them and realized they had given me the wrong one.

I called them back and let them know the transmission was installed and not working and that they gave me the wrong pump. He asked me what the car specs were again amd my number and told me he would get back to me later that day.

He never called me back so the next day I called him back. When getting on phone i had asked what was going on since he never called me back and his response was" oh i forgot about it". He then told me he couldnt come out this way to look at the car i would have to wait until the weekend when he was going to Zephyrills to a car show. This was on Thursday. I explained to him that i could not wait until the weekend as i was doing this car for a customer and I couldnt wait that long and it was uncalled for. ( Mind you it didnt make sense his excuse as his shop is only 1 hr and half away from me and Zephyrills was over 2 hours from my location). I told him i was fine with him just giving me a new transmission and power steering pump. He kept making excuses trying to blame it on me and kept saying i was cursing at him when i never did, he hung up twice on me and refused to give me his first name. He said he would come over on the weekend but he never tried contacting me again and never showed up. I had to take out the transmission and go buy another one as well as buy a power steering pump.

I was out 150.00 for both the transmission and the power steering pump. Not to count labor for the install and for seals and fluid.
