Fourscore Resource Capital said they sold my 1990 bad debt from Bank of America to CAMCO on 7/30/03. This debt is from 1990 and has been paid off in 1998 (I have proof). I have called CAMCO several times to get this matter resolved. They do not return my phone calls nor will they send back up. CAMCO stated several days that they faxed their backup to the two fax numbers I gave to them and they have an ok confirmation (4 tries/they have OK confirmation 2 different number???). I would say someone is not telling the truth.

As of 8/12/02 I still didnt receive back-up/legal paperwork, etc... for the debt. Because I called them from my house and they must have caller id, they sent me a letter stating that I owe over $3,700.00 and failed to mention the Bank of America account number. CAMCO offered over the phone/stated $1,000 will clear this up and I will never have to deal with this problem again.

Fourscore will not do anything for me. I sent them some documents, lets see what they say/do.

I tried several time to reach CAMCO on 8/8/03 - 8-12-03 CAMCOs answering machine picks up...

Even if your debt gets deleted from their database, please let the states atty and who ever else you can send your backup. We need to hammer these companies. The problem is they have limited information and once the loan is sold, no one wants to help you.

I have been very upset for the last several weeks and spent hours out of my life to fix their sloppy practice.

I am sooo glad that I saved my records.

Fax not a legal paper in a court of law

#2Consumer Comment

Hi; Don't worry about their so called fax receipt, I wanted to fax some legal papers to the federal goverment and they told me to mail copies and get them notarized because fax is not a legal instrument in a court of law. (S)CAMCO COULD HAVE BEEN FAXING YOU PICTURES OF MICKEY MOUSE, or blank sheets of paper! Don't believe anything they say, they are trying to get you to pay something that the FTC says requires legal validation. If it is time-barred I would not lose any sleep over it. Send them a letter, certified to cease and desist in their attempt to collect an unvalidated or a debt that is by law(not their law)is beyond the statue of limitations. Good luck.
