This company has a history of abuse towards animals. Even though Steve Broetsky, President of Frazier Shows, says in his statement that they won't offer the rabbits as prizes anymore, Frazier Shows continues to do so as of today.

This is animal cruelty, pure and simple. A living being is not a prize, and rabbits have a 10 year life expectancy, when well-cared for. They are an investment in time and care on par with a dog or a cat.

Steve Broetsky, you have a responsibility to make this right. Stop giving away rabbits and turtles and other living creatures as prizes.

A local news report states:

"A photo taken during festivities shows bunnies huddled together in the corner of a prize pen.
Santa Fe's Animal Services stopped by the carnival, informing operators it was against a local ordinance to use animals as "premiums," or as prize winnings. Animal rights advocates are outraged. "I  thought it was 1975 all over again. How barbaric!" said Bill Velasquez, head of the New Mexico chapter of the House Rabbit Society. Velasquez fears many carnival winners could tire of the animals, and dispose of them at local animal shelters that are already overcrowded. The owner of Frazier Shows told Action 7 News by phone that the company had  no intention of offending anyone, and that animals would no longer be offered as prizes starting Thursday."
