Now, two years later I look back and smile....Never let it be said that the little guy cannot win. I did, and my thanks to all who helped me. I gave the T-Bird to my son who drove it for six months and traded it in on a Buick. I, now still have my 1981 XR7 Mercury Cougar, always will, and my heart is still a big blue oval, but I drive a 1995 Cadillac Elderado as an escort car!(blue oval on dash) boy, do I get the stares in it! Perhaps you've seen me following the bridge beams across America. Yellow lights on a Cadillac, who'd a thought. Thanks again to all, and remember.... When you are in the right, go for it!

I spoke with the Attorney General's office that had in turn spoke with the Ford dealership. The dealership has decided that because of the story I put on the Rip Off Report, Bad Business Bureau, I now deserve nothing, for free. Not a replacement motor, not a rebuilt motor, but they will buy my car back.... With the appropriate depreciation for the miles that I have put on her. Is that fair? I was told it is now in their attorney's hands. That's who I have to deal with now. For telling the truth. Everything IS documented and not just by me, I have dragged my friends into this and even strangers. Just because I feel that I have not been dealt with fairly. The day I brought the car home I was not the only person who saw how much oil didn't come out of the drain plug! Why is it that the people in life who work hard and try to have a good life always get the shaft? My husband and I live Paycheck to Paycheck just like you. My husband works a minimum of 50 hours in the summer (road construction). My work is on a WILL CALL as needed bases. We have a house with 2 mortgages, 2 car payments, and you know the OTHER bills, (utilities, etc.) our son graduates this year and our daughter is getting married in August. Through email I have spoken to an attorney, asked him to take my case. With your help, THE PUBLIC, I would like to get this story settled, in court or not, if it goes to court I will need money, lots of money. Remember it might involve more than just this local dealership, we may have to fight Ford Motor Company itself, scared yet? Help me show the big companies that we, the little people can count, can make a difference! I am allowed to ask for gifts and contributions of money. Please read through my story again, carefully and if you feel I am right, send me a check of what you can spare. Make sure your name and address is included, cause if we win, everyone will get credit for their help, or, if you prefer it will be kept secret. I know with everything that's been going on now with Iraq and the war, this is a bad time. But remember It's all about oil! And we did make a difference over there. Help me make a difference here. Yes, I am an extremist, and yes I do want my car fixed free. But I do feel I am right. If you agree with me, please post below what you can to help me in my struggle. Miles and months after purchase of 1994 Thunderbird, the saga continues.... March 24, 2003 Oil change with filter........ odometer on 079815...Sealed March 26, 2003 Oil checked at Freedom Ford 1quart low....... odometer on 080353........ added 1 quart........ 538 miles = 1 quart March 30, 2003 Oil checked by Freedom Ford . They said about one half quart low, dip stick said add, as did three other people and me. Freedom Ford filled T-Bird back up with oil. Odometer on 080744........ 391 miles = three fourths of a quart, that's fair Instructed to drive for another 700 miles for the third and final documentation. (In writing) April 8, 2003 3pm Oil checked at Freedom Ford 2 quarts low.......... odometer on 081431........added 2 quarts oil. 687 miles = 2 quarts. Freedom Ford filled up with oil. We will call you tomorrow with plans as to what we are going to do. In 1,616 miles my T-Bird drank 3 and three fourths quarts of oil. This averages to a quart of oil every 432 miles! According to Ford Motor Company this car MIGHT use a quart of oil every 900 miles if drove fast, hard, and loaded heavy or towing a load. Almost 5 months since November 15, 2002 when I bought this 1994 Ford Thunderbird form Freedom Ford with 070,411 miles on it I have had to have 26 quarts of oil put in my motor, in between oil changes!!!! I really feel that now, because of all this stalling and fooling around and documenting, with my car rebuilding this motor IS NOT a solution. I need a new motor from Ford, warranted for 70,000 Miles / 7 Years as mentioned early in this story. (soon to be a book)

March 31, 2003 Today at Freedom Ford my odometer was on 080744, trip odometer on 390.6. March 24: Oil change with filter Odometer 079815 Marked so can't be tampered with at Freedom Ford March 26: Freedom Ford checked oil 080353 Down 1 quart, added 1 quart 538 on trip odometer. March 31: Freedom Ford checked oil 080744 My hometown mechanic checked oil level on dip stick at the add mark (down 1 quart), But FREEDOM FORD DOCUMENTED IT AT ONE HALF QUART LOW. Filled it back up and told me in writing to drive it 700 more miles and they will document it again. 3 now instead of the 2 documentations as I was told on March 24. It's getting tough. I WILL NOT GIVE UP! I am now going to email every Ford Dealership I can get an address to this story. TO BE CONTINUED.......
