Fresh Coat Painting Poor Work, Unfinished job, Intimading harrassment by contractor Ripoff Wickenburg Arizona
We hired a contractor locally to paint our house and barn. The substrate of both buildings were unfinished stucco. The agreement was made on Aug 31, 2006 to be completed by September 30, 2006. The agreement was one color of paint over primer for both buildings. The contractor was irratic and untruthful about dates to show up to paint and strung the job out over 2-3 weeks in mid October. The crew did a fair job on the house but when they got to the barn - they began to water down the paint and did not prime. The result was a different color barn compared to the house with spotchy, streaked coating surface. The owner of the business named Dan - had been told numerous times before while in the process of painting that the barn was not satisfactory. However, he demanded payment for both buildings. We paid him more than half with the understanding he would come back and add more paint to the barm. He made three different appointments to come back and paint yet never came back. We are now receiving threatening phone calls demanding payment. He becomes irrate and unreasonable, and has gotten physically violent in our presense throwing ladders and untensils to intimidate. He is suspected of being intoxicated or drugged when contacting us - his speech is slurred and he is incoherent most of the time. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR. We may have a long difficult issue on our hands before this is resolved.
