Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I first delt with this company in June of 2005, when I was enticed by them to finance a Dell Insperion 2200. Thry promised me that it would have an 185 GB hard drive, built in wireless capibility, a free printer, and would only charge my nank account $25 dollars every 2 weeks.

Well, none of the above was true. I did get my Inspieron 2200, but with only a 3o Gig Hard Drive, No printer, and no built in wireless. I was able to get Dell to fix me up with a wireless card, but then Fresh Start started taking over $200 a month from my account, and when I protested, I was given the classic run around.

After five months of this, I finally closed down my bank account so they would not get any more money from me. Since then, they have called me non stop, demanding $1400 from ne immedately, or they would have me arrested, amd a repo man accompanied by a Riverside county Sherrif to get "thier" computer back from ny home.

Is there any way I can fight this? Is such a thing even legal?

I only make about $715 a month in SSI payments, and am legally blind. The CA State Department of Rehabilitation has installed a few assistive technologies on the machine in question, and if these people take my computer away, I'm in a bit of trouble.

Friendly Advice: NEVER BUY ANY COMPUTER from these people! You won't get what they promise you, and they will ruin your credit for years. I've learned the hard way: If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

David, First of all, you cannot ever be arrested for failure to pay a debt. And, they cannot forcibly repo the computer. It simply won't happen. Now, as far as the terms of the deal. Wetre the terms in writing? If not, they have no leg to stand on. STOP all communications with them. This will only dig you in deeper. Keep in mind that any verbal communication does not supercede any written contract you signed. You willingly gave them your bank account information. Also, I have seen many of these deals, and have never seen one that would take only $25 every 2 weeks. They usually take a crap computer, triple the price and get at least $35/week for a year or more. Tell us, do you have a written contract, or was it all verbal over the phone? This is very important.
