Follow-up on this issue... I contacted the dealer where I originally purchased the refrigerator (Standard TV & Appliance, Portland OR). They contacted the service company and their Frigidaire representative. After the service company agreed it made no sense to do the repair, the Frigidaire representative agreed that a replacement was warranted. The new fridge is being delivered tomorrow. So, kudos go out to Standard TV & Appliance for knowing what customer service is all about. Frigidaire's corporate customer service was beyond horrible. I did receive a reply from an escalation specialist (Chris Polk), which was nice. But since the dealer came through for me, I don't know if he would have been able to solve my problem or not. I am happy with the outcome of this, but extremely disappointed in the steps I had to go through to get this resolved.

I never purchase an appliance without consulting Consumer Reports. They have already tested them and KNOW THE best product for the money. When you fail research what you are buying you end up with lemons.
