We bought a Frigidaire in June of 2002. It quit working the Friday before July 4th, and a repairman stated he thought he had fixed the problem. The ice maker stopped working in a few days, and the refrigerator stopped in a few weeks. This time the repairman stated it was the compressor, covered by warrenty for five years.

Frigidaire responded by sending a repairman who was scheduled for 3 PM. He arrived at 9:15 PM, examined the unit, and stated it was the compressor and circuit board. Argued vehemently that the circuit board was not covered, despite the fact that the compressor had blown it out. Promised to order the parts and be back in a few days. This was on August 9th. As we have a 21 year old "beer" refrig inb the garage we figured we could use that for a few days.

The first repairman finally admitted five weeks later that he had never ordered the parts and did not intend to return. Frigidaire had another repairman come out. By the time they finally received the parts, and could schedule a time to come out, it was October 21. My husband took the afternoon off work to be here, but that repairman hurt his back yesterday morning, so did not show up.

Tomorrow we will go out and buy a new refrig, NOT a Frigidaire! We have lost about $1000 in food over this, the cost of the new refrig, and lost time from work waiting for repairmen. I won't even mention the stress of using the garage refrig alone for the past three months. All told, I would say Frigidaire has cost us about $2500.
