On June 30, 2008 my husband and I were looking for a new car. We had looked at Ford Edges at another dealership, but were in the Roseville neighborhood and so decided to stop and take a look at Future Ford. When we parked, we got out and went directly to the section of the lot with the Edges. No one came out to talk to us for ten minutes or so, which frankly, we enjoyed. We decided that not only did we dislike what we saw, but their markups were absolutely ridiculously high. At this point a salesperson, Mike, came out to speak with us. He was nice enough, but we were ready to leave. As I was getting into the driver's seat of my car, my husband was going to the passenger side. While he was getting into the car, he saw Ron Eggars, another salesperson, making an explicit sexual gesture. After the gesture was finished, he saluted my husband. Since we were literally the only people on the sales lot, and he was facing us as he did it, it was logical to assume it was toward me.

As most any husband would do, mine went up to Mr. Eggars to discuss what he saw. When Mr. Eggars got extremely defensive and began to raise his voice, my husband went into the dealership to share with a manager what had happened.

The managers were of course very apologetic and supposedly sent Mr. Eggars home. We received apology after apology and both managers reiterated over and over that they would do everything they could to "make it right". We were even told they would sell us a car at a loss to their company to make up for what Mr. Eggars had done.

Needless to say, 2 hours after the incident, we finally managed to get back out of the dealership, but with assurances that they would diligently work on something to help us out.

After two days on the phone going back and forth with lie after lie by Mr. Sobey, my husband called the general manager and CEO of Future Ford. They too, were extremely apologetic and to their credit, actually returned our phone calls. It is now 7 days after the incident and we still have not received any offers on a vehicle as was promised.

We are amazed at how poorly run a "family business" could be; especially when something so vulgar happened to a return customer by one of their employees. We are thankful our children weren't with us to see what happened that day - in fact, any children. Their lack of care toward their customers was a disturbing and disappointing experience.

I hope no other women EVER have to go through the disrespect and insolence that I did. No one should ever have to go into a business and experience the violation that I did.
