g c services Call demanding info about a person I didn't know Houston, Texas
They called and didn't tell who they were but asked if I knew Steve Stephens. I didn't but I asked who was asking. She said "Claudia". I asked who she was from. She sais GC Services. I asked what kind of company they were. She said Client services. It was getting more suspicious so I engaged further. Finally I told her I was not going to answer questions to someone I did not know.
I called the company back and asked to speak to a supervisor. After explaining why I was calling, i asked if they were a collection agency. She said NO. She was an agency that handled job applications and they were updating records on people. I said I had this phone number for 4 years...and meanwhile I googled them and saw they WERE a collection agency. I asked her again and then told her I just googled them and they are. She backstepped a bit and I said I was questioning their ethics--and why they wouldn't identify themselves first, and how she could lie when I outright asked if she was a collection agency etc.
I just thought people should be aware of this company!
PS I still have never heard of that person--but I just don't like companies to bully people!
