I ordered a refurbished computer from Gainsaver and received a total POS! It took over three months to receive a "refund" where I was screwed out of approx. 137 dollars! Here is a brief statement regarding the transaction:

I have now dedicated my life to warning the world about gainsaver! I purchased an Optiplex GX270 Desktop P4 2.8 GHz about a month ago from them. It took about a week to get it and then, without even opening it up I took it over to my Dad's place to set it up... No one, and I mean no one, would believe the condition of this computer! It looks as if the folks in the warehouse used it as the ball in a game of Kickball! There are dust bunnies in every orifice. Most people would be ashamed to put this out in a yardsale and I kid you not I will not even go to the trouble of hooking it up! I contacted "Customer Service", got through after 5 days of trying and they told me to email them at their web site. Did that and then they told me to send them pictures of it. Then I got this reply from Steve Harper: "After review of the pictures you have sent this is the condition that these computers are sold. No RMA can be issued." Evidently, Steve is blind. I am now submitting dispute of charges to my credit card company and if necessary I will sue them in small claims court. Spread the word, they'll probably just change their name and go on screwing people, but it's worth a shot to keep other folks from going through this.
