Hi Chuck, I do deal with the sales reps that CIT does as I work at CIT. If yours was a forged signature than that is a totally different situation all together. Unofrtunately the other customer who submitted this report is blaming his salesman for not advising him of the conditions of his lease. I see the leases we have everyday and all the info he is complaining about is included on the 3 pages that are signed or initialed before lease is booked. There is no excuse for not knowing what you are signing before you sign it. Also the fact that someone else handles paying his bills is no excuse as millions of companies do this and are still aware of their lease obligations. Thank you, DK

If you Don't See It How Can You read It????????? Hi Dk - Ponte VEdra Beach, Florida, I agree you should read before you sign. However, I never saw the Contract with CIT, which had a forged signature. Simple put, at the time of signing all loopholes, etc should be made clear. Since the CIT was fraudulent and in addition was never presented at signing all agreements are null and void. However, the CIT Group is like a bottom fish with Independant Reps as bait. If you have never dealt with reps from CIT you will never know how corrupt they are. Chuck from Redding.

My mother taught me to never sign anything without reading it first. The lease agreement is short and very easy to read. All terms are outlined clearly. On the first page the sales rep fills in all the payment info and how the lease is to be bought out at the end. It's in a box in the middle of the page. If you choose not to read what you sign, you cannot blame CIT or the sales rep later. It DOES state in the lease agreement that you must give notice of intent to non renewal your lease or you go into renewal. The fact that it took you 9 months to realize that your lease should have been up is your own fault. Also, why would you even begin to think that CIT would refund you the money you had paid after your initial termination date? Are you able to give back to CIT the value of the computer at the time of lease end versus the value when you finally realize that you still have CIT's computer? You have the option to purchase the asset for $1 at the end of lease if that is what you sign for. Again, on the front page of the lease is a box. There are 2 options for our leases. $1 purchase option at the end of the lesae or Fair Market Value...your choice when you sign. The difference is who pays taxes, you our CIT. A little word of advice..READ BEFORE YOU SIGN!! you cannot blame anyone but yourself for what happened. Thank you for your time.

I totally agree with the consumer. The sales rep is very sketchy about the terms & then before you know it CIT comes to you will a full blown contract. When it is too late, you find out you owe about 1000% of what the true market value of the product is. There seems to be a pattern with CIT Leasing. First they get indepent Reps of questionalbe character to go out and push unsuspecting buyers to purchase an item via a Lease Agreement. Of course the Independant Rep wants to make a deal, so he tells the buyer anything they want to know & have them sign a contract with very tiny writing on about 3 pages. Or in our case, he gets the pertainant information and then forges a Lease contract with CIT. When you ask CIT they deny that the Independant Rep works for them & then say this contract is between them and you and not the rep.. I've read many of the posts and it doesn't matter if it is a Computer, Car, or Charge Machine, the tactics are always the same. I've read some CIT reports & they have boasted that POS equipment is a booming 30% of their business. I would boast too, if I knew I was making a 1000% percent profit. Note: the Charge machine we have has a fair market value of 300. The forged contract has a price of 3000. I am sure this is a very similar situation with the computer. So when is this robbery going to stop???
