I just started to pay on my defaulted student loan through GC Services. They tried to get what they wanted without regard to how I am to live. They demanded $150.00. I said. "$50.00!". They said we can't accept no less then $80.00. I said, "$50.00!!!". Then told them I know the law and they have to accept what I can afford. If they don't accept what I can afford, then I owe them nothing, and that they can drag me into court where I will tell the judge that I offered what I can afford, and they did not accept it. Well they accepted it and will continue to accept it on a money order. Then they said that they can't accept $ orders. I said, "YOU WILL ACCEPT A MONEY ORDER AND LIKE IT 'CAUSE I'M NOT GIVING YOU A BANK ACCOUNT!" Well I now send in a $ order every month for $50.00. Probably will for the next 15 years AAAA HA HA HA HA HA HA LOL. That's what they'll get AND LIKE IT! LOL. THE END

You have student loans that you are behind in so THEY can garnish your wages!!!!!! Anytime you owe student loans which all are subsidized through the government they will garnish your wages and take your tax refunds for years until paid. By now I'm sure you have found this out. Anything that is a secured line of credit you can be sued, garnished, lien on property or judgment against you. People educate yourself on credit and the credit industry before you borrow. I have debt and would never blame my creditors for something I created especially when you promise to pay. The fact you put so much energy and posting against this "Nikki" and she can't even see your blogging. I'm trying to goggle "GCServices" to find a job so I don't get sued and see this silly posting-STOP it and grow UP!

My advise is never give your checking account#a or any bank account #s these collection agancies cannot be trusted if you already have do a stop payment and to be safe close the account and reopen it with new #s.
If you have call block on your phone I would use it if Nikki calls again and the # shows you can dial a few #s to block her from calling and keep doing it when she calls from other #s if she calls unknown or blocked # have the phone company tell them that you do not accept phone calls from blocked #s

"Also, it might ease your mind to know that no one can garnish your wages
unless they sue you and win! Even if you get a notice of court action
in the mail, they couldn't garnish your wages at that point because you
haven't gone to court, and they haven't one."
This does NOT apply to student loans. Wages CAN be garnished without a court order.
This is why collection agencies LOVE to collect student loans. GC Services is one of the garbage collection agencies that lucked into student loan collections somehow.

Yes, "Nikki" IS still breaking the law and no one those laws have been changed. Also, it might ease your mind to know that no one can garnish your wages unless they sue you and win! Even if you get a notice of court action in the mail, they couldn't garnish your wages at that point because you haven't gone to court, and they haven't one. You need to keep record of any/all conversations and you have not only with "Nikki" but her company, and how often they call in a notebook. Write down the time and date, and all important points of the conversation. Whenever she calls tell her the only way you'll talk to her is if she agrees to talk to you while you record the conversation and on YOUR terms (within noon-3pm on Tuesday-Thursday, for example). If she agrees to this, get yourself a recorder, put her on speaker phone and record! I think you'll find that either she will stop calling OR she'll get her act together fast and stop lying and making bogus threats! If she continues to harass and threaten you, take all your records to your lawyer and sue, sue, sue! They could end up paying off those loans you have with their dirty business. Legally, if you tell them not to call you, they can't beyond that point. They also can't use bullying tactics like "Nikki" has done with you. Good luck!

"Nikki" is breakeing the law. You need to sue them. You do need to send a stop calling notive in writing which you have done. You also need to find out if the original lender has given the collection agency the authority and intent to to garnish your wages. If not, they won't do anything and then you have yet another count on them to sue. I work for a collection agency and that "Nikki" needs to be fired. She is just taking advantage of the fact that you can't file bankruptcy on student loans. You need to call thme back and talk to a supervisor, find out the presidents of the company's name and write to him/her too. I garauntee any attorney would be all over this.
