GE Capital Charges insurance and finance charges without consumer notification Louisville Kentucky
I have been trading phone calls with this company over what I find to be an underhanded billing practice.
I have been purchasing many items over the years from PC Richard and Sons who in turn use GE Capital for their credit card service.
What I noticed a while back was that even though I had always used the no intersest promotions I was still being charged every month.
When I questioned the charges I was told that it was for credit insurance and that the insurance itself was being charged the finance charge.
I never asked for this insurance and I cuold not be provided any proof stating otherwise.
After countless calls I was finally able to have this removed with a form that was mailed to me.
I am now fighting to have the two hundred plus dollars removed from my account.
I also found out that the insurance and finance charges continually role month to month because even if you make payments that are way over the minimum,nothing will be applied to this charge untill all promotions have been paid in full thereby gaining maximum charges.
I have also noticed that even though we would send payments to the company seven or more days in advance,they don't seem to post the payment till it is one day late.
I would accept that but other payments that went out on the same days were posted within 3 days of being mailed no matter where they went.
I would just like to warn people to pay close attention to your statements from this company.
