GE MONY BANK CARECREDIT RIP OFF PROMOTIONAL BALANCE EL PASO Texas
I received a 18 month no interst promotion for dental work for my daughter. I have 3 months left on the promotion. In April I paid like I normaly do on GE online web site...
At the same time I made my payment I decided to go ahead and schedule my next payment. Come to find out on my next statement that they added on the full back interest of $1200.00 to my account.. When I called them to ask them about it they said that I made the payemt late and that was why they added on the interest... I told them about the the schdule payment that I made at the same time I made the my last payment, that is when they told me that have to wait a few days before you schedule a payment.. You can not schedule a payment and make a payment withing a few days of each other....
It is totaly unfair and unethical.. Even if I was late, what about the other 14 payment that I made on time...
I think they need to amend the new bill that Carl Levin from Michigan has submitted to congress.. He convered many of the unethical issues but did not cover promotional interest rates...
I'm sending him an email about this and hope you all do the same...

but I do think that ALL Umpteen-months-same-as-cash deals are traps for the unwary. Should they be outlawed? Probably. CAN they be outlawed? Maybe. I do think that you now believe what I had originally thought about these phony deals the very first time I ever heard about them. No CC bank or merchant is out to do a total stranger a favor. I still think that 'no matter what you do', your last payment will always be late.
